Just got a job as a maintenance tech for indigo hotel, I have previous hvac service experience but never worked in hotel maintenance. Your channel first I discovered. These videos give me a better idea what I'll be running into. Thanks for making these! 👍✌️
I just completed my HVAC program. I got a offer from Bentley hotel nyc, they offered me 22 per hour, but I am still thinking ,because I want to learn some Hvac, so I do not know what should I do ?
@@yulu2863 all depends on what you really want/life situation/and what offers you find in hvac. but i think going with hvac and getting direct experience will pay off in the long run.
@@yulu2863 I hope you took the job. Talk to HR and see what hvac opportunities there are. Also long time front desk workers know a lot. Hotels are great places to network.
I'm the chief Maintenance engineer at tru by hilton and your right man, sometimes it's easy and some times it's hard. But for the most part it's good because I have steady good income to provide for my family. And I learn as a do more and more jobs. I learned alot from UA-cam and making mistakes. It's a big part of getting better. Love the channel
some of the lamps i deal with have drivers basically small ballasts that transform 120v to say 12v led boards. other lamps consist of pin type bulbs and sometimes the problem you didnt mention could be the switch is bad/broken. i recommend a multi meter to check for that kind of stuff because its not always simple fix. hell ive had to fix stained, broken, etc lamp shades and boy ive come up with crazy solutions because not every hotel can afford to buy or wait for new parts to come in.
stay safe bro i know for hvac companys some of them dont like you recording their businesses and your employers might make you choose between working for them and vlogging
It"s a flush valve diaphragm Mr. Shimmy lol and I love how you didn't allow enough dwell time for the Draino to actually break down the build up in the P-Trap. What a way to just pour money down the drain.
interesting i always thought for copper pipes draino over time or in high concentration will eat away at old copper piping and as preventative maintenance taking apart the p trap to clean both ends with whatever tool is what plumbers do to prevent a early call back for when its clogged up again
Building maintenance engineer is one of the worst jobs in the world. It's one of the only jobs in the world where you never get to say "That's not my job" because the employers make sure every damn thing is your responsibility so they can get as much labor as possible out of you before they have to call an outside contractor. Maintenance engineer unions should be mandatory.

The hotel i work at was built in 1910 and I’m constantly getting work orders for plumbing issues.
