Thank you! This has been very precious and it's going to save me looooooooooooooots of time, as I can finally use all of my zoom and jam board lessons in Canva! 🎉🎉🎉
I am using Canva desktop v1.84 the latest and no matter what I can not access any tab such as elements etc.. once I load a photo with text. How do you show the tabs, I looked under all menus and there seems to be no way out
To access the elements, these are on the left menu under elements, where it says, projects, designs etc... Once you've added a photo with text on it, you need to search for the magic grab option, which is now on the right hand side in the new editor or on the left in the old. It may be in a different place slightly, but should still be there in the left menu
@@CreateOnCanvawhat template, I mean a plain image template right? How to open a blank template? Does this image editing work on canva free desktop version as well? Please reply if it works on free version or no?
If you are looking to add in a text box click the T key on your keyboard and one will be added, this video is for editing an existing text that is on an image. Please bare in mind this video is over 9 months old and with the major updates Canva have launched recently a lot has moved places and extra clicks have been introduced, with this tutorial you need to make sure you’re using the grab text app and click on the ‘All text’ tab and then ‘grab’ to let it know you want to grab the text. I do and will continue to help people with Canva, it’s a fab platform and I have many many good testimonials from my tutorials, if you need assistance or a tutorial is not working for you please reach out rather than leave hurtful comments
Thanks a ton ... you solved my problems 🎉🎉
Thank You. Exactly what I was looking for.
Glad I could help!

The font changes after the effect is applied. Is there a way to maintain the original font in the image?
Thank you so much sister
You’re very welcome
What about text that is on the image, not the background?
Not sure I understand, this is for text that is in an image and not in the background
Can't seem to get the font to patch is there something I'm missing?
There is now an extra step since Canva have made lots of updates to the platform, you need to click on ‘all text’ then ‘grab’
worst explanation everr did everything you said and i still cant add a text box dont ever try to help someone again horrible
