I'm always amazed at the amount of rust on these things..... About to sell mine - 02 - that has zero rust underneath after 230k miles..... I'm in the middle of my watts linkage. I bought the outer bushes not realizing how bad the center ones were. Ordered the complete center from RimmerBros - was cheaper to buy it from them and ship it over than buying state side.... Not a bad DIY job though. Did the rear radius to axle bushes as well and shocked at how easy the old ones came out. Helps that the sleeve is plastic :)
Goo vid .I"m just about to start doing mine today. I was going to tidy up the linkage itself and press the new bushes in myself but somebody i know sells reconditioned ones complete with new nuts and bolts for 165 quid, happy days (hopefully!!!!)
Thanks for the video! Even though they are expensive I really need to check my watts linkage since my Disco is 19 years old. Luckily I passed MOT twice now. 🤓
Hi Jake sick videos! Looking for some advice I have a D2 with a 2” lift I want to use 2” blocks to make it a 4” what supporting mods will I need? Thanks
What springs to you run... Just ordered my bits to do watts linkage so upgrading to the cranked.... Also great videos as always, I enjoy your videos 💪💪
You should have soaked them a couple days ahead of doing the job and a ma gas tourch also broke loose and seized rust and when fail the faithful grinder and replace bolt new but if old bolt comes out apply anti-seize before intalling old bolt im sure you know but reader who may never done this type of job
