The only other athlete to dominate a sport as much as Tiger Woods in his prime was professional surfing's Kelly Slater in mid to late 1990s..he retired in 1999 with 6 world titles, 5 in a row came back in 2002 and ended up winning 5 more titles giving an untouchable total of 11. He was the youngest and still the oldest world champion in the sports history (in Men's shortboard aka performance surfing, Joel Tudor won a longboard title at an older age but those are vastly different divisions)

...and he won a "major" at age 49, (just shy of 50) The Pipemasters which is surfing's equivalent of the Masters which was his 8th time.
