The last thing the world needs is another way to remind me to take out the trash every week (especially from an LLM). What I really want is ChatGPT to understand all of my current goals/obligations and help me build out a daily and weekly plan. I want an assistant, not a notification service!
Build your own GPT trained on your goals and obligations. Ask for a personalised plan based on your inputs. It works great for me. When wanting to add or delete a goal you can just tell it in the chat function.
I find they are also missing the feature to look at all your tasks on the mobile app. Right now you can only view your tasks on the web or pc/mac. The only way to see a task is to find the chat where you proposed it on mobile.
Not impressed with this new feature to be honest. I already have reminder apps, and that's all I need. Furthermore, I do not trust ChatGPT to generate a useful output for most things with an unsupervised one-shot prompt. I feel like this tasks feature is breaking some fundamental rules of optimal LLM use, e.g. always scrutinise outputs in real time to catch any obvious mistakes, and always consider iterative follow-up prompts since a one-shot prompt is rarely as good as it could be. This "tasks" feature expects us to blindly trust that ChatGPT will produce a quality output unsupervised first time. Experienced LLM users know full well that's not a good way to use this technology. I suspect this feature is targeting "garbage in, garbage out" users who just grab the first thing an LLM serves them and call it a day. In short, this is likely a gimmick to drive sales.
I set up a custom gpt which does this without the notifications and have been using it happily. I can throw in meeting minutes or notes and it captures them all for me and can help write follow up agendas and schedule tasks. Very handy.
So, you’re either nit picking, you dont have access to it, or you dont need it, but just because you dont need doesn’t mean that other people wouldn’t. You’re not the ultimate authority on what people need just to be clear, nor are you entitled to judge people if they choose to want it because you dont. You can but that’s just weird. So yeah. You sound like the people talking smack about the iPhone until the success was so much that eventually even those people were forced to lean back. So yeah. That’s what i have to say about that

@@MV-cm1yw That sounds awesome but how do you do it???
then just build it. that functionality is available now.
Unexpected, but I like the possibilities. I could see myself using this down the road.
This is the beggining of 'Her'

Tried it and so far it's worthless
Thank you!
guaranteed to beat everything else in the market in 12 months or less
This could be a game changer if it can create boards on prompt like kanban or roadmaps.
You can do so much more with it. Being in your AI agents and ask it to complete a peace of work....

Who would actually want that feature?
Anyone who wants to save time? I've been waiting for this for a while

@ So many words and emotions, yet you still haven’t answered the simple question.
