It's bitter, sub-zero cold and clear here in Fargo. Perfect weather for cozy cross stitching. I'm so happy to see you start this one! I started it over three weeks ago and I'm totally addicted to it! I've completed the bottom section up to the horizon line and I'm just starting the vase. For the combinations, I decided to use two of the first number and one of the second, consistently. I guess I'm not concerned about running out of thread. I use a heavy, sharp needle to do backstitching. It's way easier to get through the clogged holes.
I like it, especially the blend with the gold thread, I just don't want to do it myself.. lol. Oh and the other day we had +15 C here.. such a weird winter.
Never mind my question I just have to watch the whole thing (duh myself) , I was tired at 4am. I already liked it and put it to watch later. Love the colors!
Today is 7th of February and we have zero snow here on PEI. Tonight we are supposed to have a major storm, the first big storm of the year. I will be stitching because we have a generator so we will have light and heat. I did a small cross stitch picture that had blends but I didn't bother blending and it turned out fine. I didn't see the point in blending because of the size. I like the straight forward stitching myself. Some day I might try blending.
I think this will be very beautiful when it is done. Thank you for the tutorial on blending, I have used blending many times on 14 count but have never on 11 count and was never sure how I would do it if it ever came time to, so I'm glad you showed this. I rarely work on 11 count, but have recently ordered some that I never received yet, because I could not get the pictures in 14 count. So it may come in handy this tutorial. Very anxious to get them, but two are in Mississauga for 3 weeks now and 1 in BC for 4 weeks, they don't seem to be moving!
I loved to see your progress. I am still stitching in hand but would like to see and learn which hand you use under the hoop and over it. I have qsnap and round ones but need to find something heavy to hold the hoop on the edge of the table. Maybe you can show it again or I should buy a hoop with a stand ? Stay healthy, happy stitching until tomorrow ❤🌹⚘🌼🌷
That one is looking beautiful already. I have no desire to do one right now with so many different kinds of stitches. Maybe in a few years when I get the hang of cross stitching, lol. I’m in Massachusetts in the US, it’s Feb 7, and it’s snowing like crazy today. We’re supposed to get anywhere from 3-12” depending on which forecast you watch.
Two questions. Do you start anywhere on the canvas, or do you pick an area and start there? Also do you go up and down the area always or do you sometimes go side to side? Looks like it’s going to be beautiful.

I'm wanting this one!
Does it make a big difference between 2 dark 1 light and 1dark 2 light on the canvas? Can you show us the results? Thank you 😊

Are you going to include the french knot on this tutorial?
I will 😀
How do you do blending on 11 count with 3 threads ? On 14 count ,you use one of two colors. What do you do with 3 ?
I just saw the part where you explain the way to do blend with 3 threads. Makes more cents. Thank you. :)
