Found this after watching Tracie on QuestLove podcast recently. I’m obsessed with “He’s My Man” for some reason 😂…such a classic 90s sound. All the songs are good tbh. Too bad it never got released.
The RAIN!!!, definitely a crime this Album never was released, I never slept on this Talent, bought her first Album and the second as well. Got chills after playing RAIN!.
This is a true 90s sound I wish things would have worked for tracie I believe they still can tho if she came back with new music I’d definitely be listening!
I can hear the distinct voice of the legendary background vocalist Debra Killings on a few of these songs. Debra was the unofficial 4th member of TLC In my opinion
This is some good stuff!!! I recommend that she consider either remaking a couple of these songs as part of her next project (since she said she's back out touring and will eventually get back in the studio. "He's My Man" is my favorite of the songs I've heard on here.
Nice. Very nice. Ah, 1993. Basically, this is my favorite year for '90s R&B. By nah we know that any and everything can pop w/ the right execs' belief and balls to the walls promo. Ms. Tracie went on record and stated that this project was shelved. There's a reason to that. When the label stops believing in a project, they can shelve it at they discretion. There was just way too much competition and she got lost in the sauce. Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige and Toni Braxton were top choices during the time. I'm getting chills because when I tell y'all that was a time...WHEW! That was a time! Anyhow, it's all good. I'm diggin' this lil' unreleased treasure trove. All of the sounds and nuances just make me feel so good inside. I suddenly wanna eat some Fruitomic Punch Gushers and go to Service Merchandise w/ my grandparents.
Thank you so much for sharing! Always been a huge fan of Tracie Dpencer and too bad the project was never released. They did use one of the songs from tthia project, “Rain” for the movie Down in the Delta starring Alfre Woodward in 1997.
This is the kind of thing I dream about finding one day; you gotta tell the story of how you ended up with this? It's sad, though, seeing stuff like this just get tossed after SO much work in the studio, Tracie and the team must've been so deflated
@@lisabonae I am not sure. Tracie recorded the entire album in late 92 early 93. Capitol never put it out but they didn't drop her either. She came back in 99 still signed to them. Probably industry politics.
Yall know what happen to tracie they tried that stupid shit on that girl and it's obvious she ran from it😮I love tracie I never stopped listening to her music people always b like what's that u listening to lol even my daughter all tracie did was dodged a bullet that didn't have her name on it she is very smart and beautiful ❤❤❤I wish I could meet her I know all her songs by heart this sound is nice to !!!!
Tracie Spencer deserved to work with some of the great R&B producers of the ‘90s like Babyface, Teddy Riley, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, etc… I imagine that’s what this album could’ve been.
She still managed to swing back around with a pretty solid release in like '98 I think...I remember it being pretty much a Soulshock and Karlin album; they were like the European Neptunes at the time lol I loved their sound
I’m glad this album wasn’t released. The production of this wasn’t good. These feel like filler songs. It almost sounds like it was recorded prior to her 1990 album “Make The Difference”…musically, not vocally.
Newjackswingproduction. So appreciate you presenting this. Although were glad to hear this lost gem, Could you repost sides A and B songs in its entirety?? "Justify, I'll be there for you, you got a friend... all are great but Understanding and The Rain (Bonus Beats) are the standouts!!! The fans deserve to hear the complete project. Thanks so much!
She had such talent how they never released this is a shame. Her backing musicians and production was always spot on
It is an absolute CRIME this album never saw the light of day!
Look... This was a DIFFERENT TIME of music & the world... this GEM needs to be RELEASED... THIS is music....!!!!!!!!! Nothing like 1993-1994 beats
Always been a huge fan of Tracie,I have nothing but love ❤ for her ,she should have been a Superstar!

She back
And It's The Best News Ever!!!!! @@soulchorea
Tracie is fine. She wasn't messed over by her record label with a crazy contract. She wrote om her albums. She's doing just fine
Just the sound of this takes me RIGHT back to this era. Thanks for sharing. #IYKYK

This unreleased album is the perfect bridge between 1990's Make The Difference and 1999's Tracie.
Beautiful album lost gems

it’s the first song for me!! love this era of music
Hoooooowwwwwwww can we get this on streaming platforms??? I love Tracie Spencer
God, I wish there was a proper release for this. Or at the very least, Justify. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckin hell, I'm in love with Justify
Would love to have this download! Such a wasted overlooked project.
Thank you so much for offering this treasure.
Wow, this dope Tracie Spencer album never came out because Capitol Records shut down their Urban Music Division... smh
I've Been Looking For This For The Lonnnnngest

Alright had single potential
Thank you for the upload! This mixtape was fire! 🎶💿🔊
Sad that this was shelved. Could have been a big album for her.
Most Original quality music and unique inventions gets shelved.
Album never came out because Capitol Records shut down their Urban Music Division...
This album was shelved by Capital Records. Naturelle was supposed to come out late 1993. I’ll Be There For You sounds like a Mariah Carey song.
I see that comment a lot lol it doesn’t sound like Mariah to me tho,.
Most def. "He's my man" does. Old skool Mariah.
Why was it shelved?

Amazing! Is there any way for you to get this on your computer and send it? I’d love to listen to it!
This would have been a perfect 3rd album…..WHY wasnt this released?????
Because Capitol Records shut down their Urban Music Division
Is there a way for you to share the full album in HQ? 🙏🏻
This would have been a good album. Too bad it was never released. Stupid record label. 😒

@@soulchorea yes that album was very underrated! She did some amazing background vocals for 50 Cent, Eve, Kanye, G-Unit after that as well.
@@mjs23336 that's crazy! Didn't know that
Could those be put on MP3 Files?
🤬The Music Business! Just Business as Usual.
WHERE CAN I FIND THIS??????
on eBay for $2000
This album does sound weak compared to earlier stuff. Not enough good melodies and hooks here
Facts this shit trash 🗑️
