Gabe Rygard was the backbone of Rygard logging it's just not the same with out him. I'm deeply sorry for the family's loss my condolences go out the family and friends of Rygard logging. Thanx for all of the great times

This was one of my favorite shows. I started watching from the very beginning. At first I didn’t like Gabe, I thought he was just riding on the back of his dad’s success. But then I started seeing him take over the company, he took it to new heights. I was like, this guy is good. After that I had nothing but total respect for him. I will miss him on the show but will and will definitely be watching the new season. Gabe was the best.
My prayers will be out for their family and business, I’m from Washington and Oregon. They were huge in the community.

Nobody can replace Gabe rygaard. However, I think that what Craig and Jason can do to honor him is keep rygaard logging relevant to us Washingtonians. I do hope Gabe is smiling down on them from the hereafter.

My best moment of ax men is seeing gabe working the landing by himself until his help arrived. I was hook on the series after that

I doubt his wife and kids are struggling he died worrh more than 4 Million and im sure he had car insurance and a hefty life Insurance payout.

@@Rich_Why I don't see how he was was worth 4 mill and was driving a 95 bronco. That just doesn't add up to me. Sadly had he been in a nice new truck he more than likely survives. Ain't too much safety features on a 95 bronco
I was doing a logging job up on the peninsula, and had the opportunity to meet Gabe, He was a good guy. I just wished my boss had the same passion for logging that the Rygaard Family has.
An amazing bond between great hardworking men!

I used to watch this show with my Dad a few years ago before I joined the Military. I still love watching this show even though we are states apart. This makes me so sad though RIP Gabe!

Ohh man! I spend much of my time watching old episodes of Ax Men every Saturday on Defy TV . When this happened I was absolutely devastated. I cannot IMAGINE what his family went through 😢. I just hope today they have healed and realize how many people who loved and admired Gabe. 😔 ❤

this really caught me off guard when i watched the other day... i was so excited cause had been wondering why no new ax men for awhile ... then was wanting see gabe . and then this plays.... i was in shock... side note.. crazy how life is.. guy worked one most dangerous jobs in world, dad was in very poor health, and he dies in car wreck before his dad ...

It's so unfortunate...there aren't any words to describe the void that Gabe has left behind. I honestly do wish the best to the Rygaard family and hope that the future is bright for them all.
Waking up at 3am to face long hours of dangerous and physical work ain't fun. Much respect to these men for doing a thankless but very difficult job.

I remember that episode when Gabe was so good to Dave that was awesome helping him out on his date after his truck got smashed lol good stuff.. Thats what this company is spreads love to each other . my old friend that now is a retired logger i got him watching and loving this show it keeps him going makes him feel good each day so thank you for this

I never met him but I actually have a couple friends that were good friends with Gabe. He sounded like a really good guy and it sucks he was killed so young.
I have loved watching AXmen since it aired. So sorry for your loss. I will continue to watch the show.

I know what you mean I took care of my mom 20years after my dad pastaway at young age . My mom past away about two years ago it's been hard and ran into hard times but at least I was there for my mom. My condolences to raygards

Gabe was respected an was top elite logger. He could do any job an be one of the best doing it he was undisputed head of the company and his family. His father knew Gabe was the alpha in his family.

The display of bullying , pig ignorance and total disregard for safety evidenced in this series is astounding . In any civilized country the principles in these organisations would be looking at the forest from behind bars .

Gabe was Regarding Logging . I really enjoyed the show, but Gabe seemed to always be in a rush . I would venture to say when he crashed, he wasn't wearing a seat belt .Just a hunch,but seat belts really do save lives .
