Do the right thing at the right time, don’t do the wrong things at the wrong time. (Anyways you’re right my bad on the explanation I’ll try to think of a clearer way to explain and drop a guide)
To add into what hooj said: As a general rule overaim when you are trying to dodge bullets first and then shoot. Underflick if you have to take the first shot. So, essentially this is a matter of shooting while stationary or aiming while moving. The fun thing is that when you are moving you can actually do either way, depending on how your target is reacting to you. Unfortunately this is not something you are actually gonna be thinking mid-game (Unless it's really bad and then you absolutely should). That's what dm is for: Getting reps on taking fights so you actually take them the same way in ranked. Similarly, other aiming skills like tracking or dynamic clicking have their own situations where they are useful. But you don't take a 50 expecting to track your opponent. If it ends up happening you better be ready tho (It's on the playlist, that's how you call gun n' runners btw)
@@WoohoojinI would really appreciate this guide. I've been doing the "overflick" drill and seen a lot of success with it. I don't "freeze" on contact anymore and start every fight with movement + aiming. However, I've been really confused on if I'm supposed to be applying this to most encounters or if its more situational. Love your content btw you do a great job.
Ok, that's pretty useful actually! I did notice that when I did the "trail braking" motion my speed and accuracy started going up. Like, my wide flicks started getting pretty much on target to the point I didn't feel the microcorrection on my wrist even tho I knew I was doing it. Another person I know explained it like this "It's like when you are on a bus: The bus can't hard stop right away because it'll send it's passengers flying on the back. It's gotta ease on the brakes until it lands on the stop."
I’d heard of the concept of a large flick and then micro adjustment before, but your explanation of it being a fluid transition rather than separate steps was really insightful for me because I always had some cognitive dissonance with how the technique was explained and then demonstrated in other cases. Thanks banana man.
Thank you so much hooj, I started watching you when I was iron3 and learned a lot, i am gonna reach gold soon. I cant record because I play on Laptop, so i wont get any coaching from you but your content always helps. Thank you so much.

Also i skimmed the vod review roles on the discord and it says nothing about quality. Have fun on the grind!!! 😄
I subconsciously started to deliberately make my aim less flicky and smoother and I improved from around 14 on hard bots to 19. It builds a good base for fast flicks when necessary.
This reminds me a lot of the "miyagi method" that red showed in one of his older youtube videos. It was my go to warmup routine for a long time when i was iron-silver but i stopped using it for whatever reason but i started doing it again and it's really helping my 1st bullet accuracy.
Im a player coming back from on and off, now trying to be a serious pro play, ive been studying you for 1.5 months and climbed from G3 to Asc 3 just, thanks woohoojin!
I think the intro of this video, more than any aim training or drilling has just unlocked improvement. I always thought those types of flicks were just a linear velocity and either you human benchmark the click or the moment your crosshair was on target
Commenting till plat Seriously thank you for the free teaching. I don't think I'd be improving at the rate I am without it. My Omen instalocking is starting to pay off
About the Aim tech part, I thought that over-flicking is better then under-flicking... In another video of yours you explained how movement will do most of the micro adjusting part and recommend over-flicking. Do you recommend mastering only one of the techs or that choosing which tech to use in each gunfight is not too complicated? Love your content btw :)
Idea is to minimize the amount of travel ur crosshair has to make, so it depends on the movement of ur enemy and yours if the targets are stationary proper technique would be underflick to a micro
sup wohoo, ive been following your content for a while now and its getting really solid and i love the fact that you walk us through. I never hear you talk about the importance of click-timing and its practice tho. Its a major component to become a pro.
This is one of the fundamental techniques in flicking, the two-motion flick. You always wanna increase the speed of the initial flick, but consistently getting it to underaim and having to get that underaim to be the most minimal amount takes hundreds of hours
If you’re uncontrollably/subconsciously over-flicking, would it be better to adjust the strength of your flicks or is it better to adjust your sens? If its the latter, would it be better to adjust the sensitivity or the dpi?
Typically, I take one look at your channel's thumbnails and I scoff. HA! How could such minimal and measly Photoshop skills BAIT me to CLICK on your silly video. However, today something caught my eye. Maybe it was the perfectly placed CLUELESS emote that perfectly captured my own emotion as I peered deeply at this thumbnail. Or perhaps it was the way that your deliciously colored arrow was angled...just...so. I couldn't help myself. I clicked on the video. And now I find myself watching the entire thing, despite being a player who doesn't aim too much! Whatever change you made, it's working, and the person responsible should be compensated handsomely.
I understand the need to flash fast for teammates in the 1st round so better to do right click 2nd flash but it has more chances to blind teammates still walking out the smoke and sky is already out and would make contact with enemy so idk if flashing just for her would do any better. Also would avoid making teammates mad at me for flashing them, Ive seen civil war start from them in my games
Sorry captain banana, might be a dumb question. But I’ve been using your deadzoning aim tech and have found success in it and I’m now up by like 250 rr from g2ish to plat2ish, do I need to do this instead? Cause I’ve found myself being capped by my aim (can’t convert good plays/guys not looking directly at me due to aim) when I hit plat 2 and have to play off of my util and teammates heavily to get frags (never top fragged since plat 1 unless I’m in plat/gold lobbies)
woohojin i know that you always say coms are important so would you rather have someone who has really good coms but does not listen to their team comms at all or someone who does listen to team comms really well but does not use mic at all
Hoojert, I know you said that generally it is better for most to underflick and then adjust to the head, but over the gajillion years ive played first person shooters it has become a very strong habit to overflick and then correct backwards, like you said people with flickier playstyles do. This is probably a silly question but I was wondering if you think it's worth it to try and change that habit to underflicking, or if i'm used to it by now to just stick with it?
At 9:19, wouldn't the sound of leaving let cypher get that info anyway and chill? And if you shift walk out of b main wouldn't that give enough time for cypher to check his cam again when knife wears off? Especially in this vod's case when they're pretty much 5 stacking b.
11:54 should we not throw our util and just fight or rather tell skye to wait for our util and then fight? for smokes bc you said we have time to throw knife after a kill, but i feel like smokes should be used before pushing site right?
how do you incorporate the underflick and smooth microadjust? should i start by intentionally underflicking and microadjusting, and try and build the smoothness? it just feels very ingrained in me that its two movements
I have this problem of overflicking and microadjusting, should i just practise smooth aim in range until it becomes a habit? I've realised that even in the intermediate routine playlist, i overflick and microadjust as well. Meaning.. i've been developing and working on this bad habit even during my aim training, damn.
i love overflicking and readjusting on them more than under and then readjusting, mainly because if i flick to one side i now have this anatomical torque in my hand that makes continuing to the side i was previously going in slightly more uncomfy and thus less accurate than if i were to flick slightly back. should i get used to doing it the other way regardless? because if knowing which way to flick is the only pro for doing it the underflicking way i might just stick to overflicking since i know exactly that i just need to readjust towards the other side.
Wait what about when you were coaching darshan and asked him to overshoot the flick then move(not aim) the cursor back on the target? or are those different things?

Woohojin could you make a more detailed guide on dead zoning. I watched it have been trying to do it since a week but I can't nail the timing on it.
First turn on shooting error to make sure ur doing it right.
When u let go of ur other direction and start holding the new direction wait alittle bit till it looks like ur gun isn't being swayed left or right then shoot. Other then that it's just abit after u start holding the new direction so just keep shooting slightly slower till u get it down

But although it has many frames, a pure deadzone only gives 1 accurate bullet, trying to squeeze a 2-shot burst in 1 deadzone window will result in the second being slightly inaccurate due to movement error. I think it's because the fire rate of guns have more frames between 2 bullets (like maybe 6 frames) where the deadzone window is only, lets say, 4 frames.
This means 2-shot bursts or 3-shot bursts require dedi-peeks (dedicated peeks) where you actually stop for a split second (like you let go of any movement key for a moment) instead of the constant movement of deadzoning where you always keep at least 1 movement key pressed qt any given moment.
