I love trini food and I am proud to be Guyanese. Thank you chef Jason for saying that Guyanese food is flavorful!

As a Trini I've been to Guyana a Few times well .....and have eaten some of the BEST Curry I Have Ever Tasted in my Life in Guyana .......But I Must say that my very first taste of Guyanese Curry was Absolutely the Worst that I have ever tasted Way too much Masala smh......And it was from a reputable Roti shop in GT so I actually had written off Guyana Curry because of that one shop ....But Guyana made a HUGE COMEBACK in MY book when I came back on subsequent visits....... I COULD NOT STOP EATING THE CURRY CHICKEN, GOAT, AND WILD MEAT ....REAL WILD MEAT .......man it was EveryDAY lol .......As for who Curry Better .....Lets put it this way Yuh Cyar Beat ah EXCELLENT!!!! Curry, be it from Guyana or Trinidad but ah KNOW WE BEAT CURRY FROM INDIA FOR SURE lol ........as for the availability of a consistently Good Curry...... .. GYUANA GO HAVE TO TAKE WIN with that one .....I was getting Good Curry almost everywhere in Guyana (Except from that 1 place )......,I have eaten WAY more SO SO curry in Trinidad than in Guyana ,So yeah Guyana has my Vote .

People need to stop blaming other people who make their experience terrible sometimes it's not the food sometimes it's just the person who cook

One of the few times I have seen someone season the meat before doing a duck curry, most Guyanese cooking on UA-cam shows unseasoned meat being added to the cooked curry in the pot. I have seen it done with chicken, fish etc. i am more used to Trinis seasoning their meats before adding to the curry or stew.

I don’t know what videos you’re watching, but MOST Guyanese people season their MEATS (most time with green seasoning) BEFORE adding it into the pot. So, the videos on YT is NOT a good representation of Guyanese cooking/food.

Respect to everyone's culture and their terms of naming their dishes so no hard feelings but I'll stick with my Trini Curry duck. One reason to say curry duck is we adding curry to flavour the duck and not adding duck to flavour the curry. The duck being the main part of the dish and the curry being an ingredient makes it the reason we don't flavour an ingredient with meat but vice versa we flavouring the meat with curry hence why we say curry duck, curry chicken etc. I wonder if they say bodi curry and potato curry. Anyways, as I said I respect everyone. Thank u for always bringing the experience to our homes Jason! 🥰💞

Both can work with curry being the dish , chicken can describe the dish thus chicken curry or what kind of chicken thus it should be curried chicken.
