    You totally should edit your channel name to "Hard Working Mom AKA The Wreath Genie" Cause I have seen a ton of wreath tutorials and have never been able to learn like this :) That was such a beautiful wreath and I'm sure your friend is going to love it and get strength every time she sees it!! Please keep the videos coming and thank you for always being so kind to all of your subscribers.....we all greatly appreciate it!

    I watched several wreath makers on UA-cam. When I found Hard Working Mom, I knew I had found the best one. She is very down to earth, easy to follow along. I don’t have to stop and rewind with her.

    Just wanted to say thanks for making this for my mother. It means a lot to me because your videos make her escape reality after a long day of dealing with the worse of life and when dealing with me lol. This is the third time she had cancer which breaks my heart but people like you make her help the fight cancer and continue with life to help put smile on everyone's faces.
    Thank you so much. Which much love from Mari and her son.

    I have learned so much from the Hard Working Mom, who is so down to earth. I love all the different ways of using both the 21' and 10' deco mesh! I am always looking forward to learning more from Laurie, our Hard Working Mom! I can't wait to see how she uses the 6" mesh!

    Lori, I Love the purple wreath, I too have stage 4 Non hodgins lymphoma cancer and have gone through my third relapse and 6 months of chemo again. I've also had breast cancer. When I read about your friend it reminded me of my situation which is the same. I have just started making mess wreaths and have made grapevine and green fir Christmas wreaths. I love watching your videos. My prayers for your friend Marie and her family.

    I want to thank you, all for all your support and all your prayers as well. Most of all to Miss Lori, for what she's has done for my mom. A little to know as Miss Lori have stated my mom is going thru her 3rd cancer. She was just in remission for almost I believe a year and not long ago she was diagnosed again. Her first was when I was still inside of her. Then 13 years later came back again and now this third time so she hasn't recovered from her last one completely. She has been a mother that any child in the world would want. She is a mom to two of us also a sister an a daughter. So my mom in order to ease her mind of this horrible cancer she gets on and watches Miss Lori. Miss Lori you put a huge smile on her fave when she saw this video. She cried and all she talked about was " that's Lori OMG she did a wreath in my awareness, OMG!!! I don't know what to say to her" she was so happy and excited she has watch this video more than anyone has watch it. So thank you again Miss Lori thank you so much for making her so happy and to be able to have many people to wish her and pray for her. Thank you so much she got to to see Bella and your kids. She always says to me every Sunday " I'm waiting to see who's going to show up at the door ( Bella and the kids) now I know why!!! Thank you again to everyone and most of all to you Miss Lori. It's been awhile to see my mom as happy as she was the other day. Don't get me wrong she makes the best at everything that comes on her way to make sure we have and make us happy. Thank you, all from her son and daughter. God bless you all as well.

    +Hard Working Mom, Hi Lori! I'm interested in making a deco mesh wreath and so glad to find you. I've really enjoyed the few videos I've watched so far, along with your teaching style.
    I was beginning to wonder if the deco mesh wreaths were a trend that had already run its course. I don't see as many now as in the previous couple years and when I looked for the mesh to buy at the local Walmart and Dollar Tree last month, neither place had it in stock or even a spot for it. I did see it at Walmart just last year. Not sure what's happening but I'm sure I'll find some online or maybe the local Hobby Lobby or Michael's.
    I find myself coveting your nice, organized studio and cordless drill. 😀 The drilled holes and paddle wire is a good secure way to attach the sign. If someone doesn't have a drill available, I found another way to attach signs or other somewhat awkward items to a wreath: Attach a small loop to the back wherever you'd like a place to add a wire. Cut a short piece of pipe cleaner (about one inch long), fold in half without making too firm of a crease at the fold. Mount it with hot glue to the bottom half of both "legs" pressed flat against the surface, leaving the top half open to make the loop. It should lie flat against the back of the sign or whatever else you are wanting to attach to the wreath.
    The glue grips the fuzzy pipe cleaner very well. Mount as many of these loops as needed. Thread a length of wire through the loop long enough to attach to wreath frame. Twist at both ends to secure. For extra stability, double the length of the wire.
    If the item is very lightweight and your pipe cleaners are long enough (and best if color blends well with wreath), you may be able to just glue a half inch of the end of the pipe cleaner directly, skipping the loop and separate wire altogether. Bend in an L shape at the top of the glue join after glue has dried so the bottom of the L sits flat against the object. Then attach the other end of the pipe cleaner to the wreath.
    The small hanging loops are also useful for gluing to the backs of lightweight items you want to hang on the wall from a small nail or even a straight pin. I made a wall grouping of some decorative kitchen items including wooden utensils and granite ware plates.
    Lori, making this wreath for Marie was such a sweet, special labor of love. Do you know how she's doing? I am praying for her and her family.
    Looking forward to more of your videos. ~ Janet

    • @craftingwithhwm
      @craftingwithhwm  6 років тому +1

      Great idea Janet another way i use is to take some felt and cut a little piece secure to the back with glue then put your pipe cleaner down and staple it down. The felt helps to prevent the staple from going through. I have found a new way too it is the product called zip tie cable mounts. They have an adhesive backing and a hole you can run a pipe cleaner through. It works great but i do add a little hot glue to keep the mount from coming loose.
      My Walmart hardly ever has mesh or my DT either. It is better to order online. The quality is better and so is the price. Check craftoutlet.com and trendytree,com.
      Mari is still struggling and still needs our prayers but she is a wonderful lady and God will take care of her. Thank you for asking Janet

      Thanks for your reply. I looked at the craftoutlet website. Good prices and lots of product choices. I will have to check out zip tie cable mounts. Zip ties seem to be very popular these days. Thanks for the update on Mari.

      @craftingwithhwm  6 років тому

      Thank you, Janet. I have the Zip Tie Cable mounts listed on my Amazon website, I will send you the link. The aye I used a dab of hot glue to make sure they'll be secured and let it sit, they work wonderfully. Yes, they do and they also have fast shipping as well. Thank you, so much for her concern, we need those prayers🙏🙏 for everything to turn around and she could get heal. I know, God is by her side and her kids, as well.🙏 Thank you, so much, Lori.

    Your work is beautiful and I appreciate the time you take in showing each step. Besides the burlap deco mesh, which others do you recommend to use for wreaths and do you always spray the ends with the E6000 spray on all projects?

    • @craftingwithhwm
      @craftingwithhwm  6 років тому

      I don't spray them unless it is necessary then I will do it. I would use either Krylon clear coat glossy or the E6000 spray, as far as for mesh. I use also deco mesh, burlap, jute, fabric mesh too. Don't forget to like and share. Thank you, Lori.

I was wondering if you ever thought about doing an Autism support mesh wreath.? I would love to see that. There is a lot of parents out there who also are sharing the same struggle I am.

She lives in the nursing home where I work part time. Keep the videos coming, I learn something after watching them. On this video you said how you choose the ribbon! Your boys are cute! I have a question if I wanted to do a smaller wreath frame like a 12 inch frame I wouldn't use the larger deco mesh right so could u show one on a twelve in wreath frame I got the 6" deco mesh would I still need the large? Could you possibly do one with a twelve inch frame plz

    • @craftingwithhwm

      You can certainly do it with a smaller frame and you can use the smaller mesh. It will take more to cover and it will not be quite as full but it will work.

My son past away 2 years ago and he had colon cancer first and it spread to his kidneys ,liver ,lungs and brain In the end it spread to all of his body. Hi Lori!!! Both your wreaths are just beautiful!!! Purple is my favorite color. Sorry it took me a while to watch your videos this time. Had a very busy weekend. Sending prayers to Marie. Just breaks my heart when young people get sick. I hope she beats this horrible disease as I hope my daughter beats breast cancer. I made a pretty decent Terri Bow tonight. I posted it on DDC. Do you belong to that group??? Regina invited me to it. Anyhoooo believe it or not I got mostly all positive comments on it so far. lol I get frustrated cause I'm not sure if I'm doing the fluffing right. I think it will look ok on a wreath I started making today. Hope you have a great week!!!😃😃😃

    • @craftingwithhwm

      Hello and welcome, there Susan to my channel. You can store it in a box and seal the flaps in middle and on each end or you could get a plastic container they have now at the stores for storage. They are round and made for wreaths, the only problem is that you will need to make sure they'll suit your wreaths. Don't forget to like and share. Thank you, Lori.

    Hi Lori. What is in that electric skillet you keep next to you? Also do you have any tips on unraveling deco mesh? I am having a horrible time! Thanks, Michelle

    • @craftingwithhwm
      @craftingwithhwm  7 років тому +1

      Hey Michelle it is just an electric skillet from walmart that i use as a glue pot. It is good when you work with lots of picks or flowers. The thing with fraying is the more you work with mesh the more it frays. You can spray E6000 adhesive on it or Krylon clear coat both work well. Spray several light coats it will help stop the fraying from continuing. The thing to remember is the thinner the mesh the higher risk of fraying. Try the sprays i think you will be happier.
