Jessica's voice brings a brightness that can't compare, but wow Tiffany pulled her part off so well! Not that I expected less of course! And Seohyun's run sounded flawless, just as good as Jessica usually does it

this shows the identity and how special each member's voices are and how important they are to harmonize this group
Tiffany's voice is good, but at the same time, her voice can't handle Jessica's part. It is basically like having Yoona singing Sunny's parts. Sunny usually sings parts that are high-ish pitched, while Yoona sings low-ish pitched parts. Seohyun covering Jessica's part was on point. Her voice is more flexible than Tiffany's.

Sarah Alexia Like I said, Seohyun is the one who can actually do it because she is a good singer. However, on the other hand, Yuri has a good voice, but it is very unstable. If you really pay attention to their performances, Yuri always has back up vocals when she sings.

In my opinon Tayeon cover Jessica the best. Sunny does a good job as well, but our Kid Leader has the best vocal control of GG. But no one can ever truly replace our Ice Princess Jessica.

Everyone here is commenting about Tiffany’s performance instead of actually enjoying the whole performance. Leave Tiffany alone, its not like she had the decision in whether she would cover Sica’s part or not.
Although I 100% disagree with the hate, SM and Young One have to understand and admit that Tiffany's voice isn't for Jessica's lines. I say that because I read comments from people prefering Sunny or Seohyun for covering Jessica and then YoungOnes call them haters, not only in this video. I know Tiffany is hated by even "sones", I also read that kind of comments. But honestly, there are occasions in which some people don't want Tiffany to sing high notes on SNSD songs or prefers other members to do it, and again Young One don't understand and automatically call haters...
I don't blame them for defending Fany, I would do the same and even I've defended her in some occasions too. But sometimes don't want to understand the case. I mean, not everyone who complains about her lines is because she/hate hates her or because they think she is a horrible singer. In my case, I prefer her as in Genie or Run Devil Run, with more lines than in debut and the ones she can sing perfectly. Yes, by that time she was having less lines than after TTS, but at least she can sing perfectly even live

I literally said half of the people aren’t even talking about the performance, just Tiffany. That’s not being biased when all you have to do is scroll to see that. There’s a difference in voicing wanting to have another member take Sica’s lines vs people insulting Tiffany all the time which happens a lot, that isn’t criticism or having a preference that’s just being rude and cruel to a member who struggled a lot and took a lot of shit when Jessica left and still does today. definitivamente despues de la salida de jesica, seohyun se puso como quien dice el equipo al hombro, en mi opiion es la unica que puede reemplazar vocalmente a jesica, tiffany es hermosa y tmb tiene buena voz pero es muy diferente a la de jesica, se siente mucho la diferencia, mientras que la ultima parte que seohyun hizo ni senti la ausencia de jesica

De hecho Tiffany ha llegado a las vocales de Jessica porque las ha cantado de forma nasal y nada sana. La única vez que he escuchado a Tiffany hacer una interpretación exitosa fue en el Phantasia Tour en Japón que acaba de pasar. Allí me gusto mucho como canto Tiffany las partes de Jessica, las hizo muy suyas y no intento salirse de su rango vocal para llegar al de Jessica. También en la parte del coro de Bad Girl hizo un buen trabajo, pero creo que quien ha hecho un mejor trabajo en cubrir las partes de Jessica es Taeyeon, por que es la mejor vocalista de GG. Seohyun también lo intenta, pero es cierto, no se parece mucho su voz a la de Jessica. A mi parecer Taeyeon es la única que puede reemplazar a Jessica en la mayoría de las canciones.

+Tula Razo Totalmente de acyerdo. Creo que el error de varios es que comparan el rango de Seohyun con el de Jessica. La nota alta de Seohyun en Mr. Mr. es buena tanto en tono como en soporte, pero la mayoría piensa que se escucha mal porque no está adecuado al rango de Jessica, pero nadie de las otras chicas tiene ese rango. Además la voz de nuestra maknae ha mejorado mucho. ^^

Taeyeon is obviously lip syncing while others're singing live. But one thing that I like about her is that whenever she's lip syncing, she will let you know easily in the way she dances and shapes her mouth. She never pretends as if she was live.
Tiffany has a great voice, don’t get me wrong. But she has a very different vocal tone and style as Jessica which made covering her part not suitable for her. I personally would have let Seohyun cover in terms of power and control or Sunny since she’s the closest to sound like Jessica’s high-pitched sound.

/laughs sadly/ I know that this was their choice and all, and that maybe things won't go back to how they were, but is it just me or has anyone else noticed that they've been struggling to stay afloat, especially during their live performances, after Jessica left? I kinda get the vibe that they shotcircuited out or there isn't any of the fight they had when they first started left anymore. I feel that there was more damage done than what meets our eyes, guys. Let's just pray and hope that they can continue to strive for the better and be well and happy.

1)This performance was in 2011, before Jessica left.
2)We do not know if Jessica was kicked out or if she chose to leave. So, we cannot blame their lack of energy on Jessica leaving, because there are plenty of performances where Jessica sounds outright horrible, and that obviously cannot be tied to her absence from SNSD. I rather think that they are just tired, but they still have great performances- CMIYC is great, their latest album is poppin, You Think and Lion Heart are great songs, too.
Again, not to be rude, but Jessica was not the only member in SNSD, and she wasn't the best, either. Taeyeon is a better singer, Hyoyeon, Sooyoung and Yuri were better dancers. SNSD is fine without her, and she is fine without them. Are they better together? Yeah, of course. But, they will both be fine alone.
