    I love the fact that the wool came from a part of Oregon that I grew up in. As I grow older Iam so proud of the fact that I know this land

    Imperial is one of our local producers of meat and yarn; they are a truly an incredible operation and this makes me so happy that Ralph Lauren has tapped Imperial for their sweater yarn.

    Finally - clothing entirely made in the USA! And starting from a sheep breed created in the USA! I don't care if this is a Ralph Lauren ad - I think it's great!

    I think it's fantastic that American raw materials and craft/tradesmen were the building blocks of these sweaters; but the sweater that looks like a peacoat is one of the gaudiest sweaters I've ever seen.

    LoL they gave the husband & wife team a two second spot. W...we tried people we really did. At least it's made in America by Chinese Americans.

  • @WMFerguson
    @WMFerguson 10 років тому +5

    Ralph Lauren made the the uniforms in the USA only because of public outrage from the summer games uniforms being made in China. As soon as the games are over everything will be made back in the Orient, I don't know why any of you don't see this.

      You are a simpleton. Look at any clothes brand that is not "famous", and makes their clothes in the US and it is about the same or in many cases cheaper than designer brands. For example the All American Clothing Co. has all made in USA jeans for $48.99. American Apparel has American made jeans for $72. Ralph Lauren has Chinese made jeans ranging from $85 to $145. You refuse to "see" what is right in front of you. The reason Lauren's clothes cost so much is because of the name brand, fashion shows that have to be paid for, and knowing that people will pay higher prices for his label. Why don't you try doing some research before running your big and most likely uneducated mouth off. Or better yet why don't you move to China since you must like it so much? And just to let you know because you obviously have no idea (but that's probably true for most things) Ralph Lauren used to make clothes in the US before moving it all to the Orient to make a higher profit off of children and sweatshop workers. Idiot.

      I have given you examples and facts of American manufactures who produce clothing in America for less than Ralph Lauren does in the Orient. You are the one refusing to accept the evidence set before you. Seeing how I do have a small haberdashery I run I think I do know a thing or two about this "field". I do have a clue of what the cost is to produce things in the US, unlike yourself. Once again, the only reason Ralph Lauren is making these clothes in the US is because of the public outrage of the summer uniforms being made in China. I am giving you facts that you can easily look up. You are giving me jargon.

    • @WMFerguson
      @WMFerguson 10 років тому

      laylaindy
      I have given you three facts which you choose to blatantly ignore. Go to allamericanclothingdotcom and look at their jeans, once again $48.99. Next go to americanappareldotcom and look at their men's jeans, $75. Now go to ralphlaurendotcom and see that their jeans are $85 to $145. Next look up "ralph lauren summer olpympic uniforms china" and read the articles. There are FOUR facts you yourself can look up. I would post links but youtube disallows this. You continue to repeat drivel that spews from your mouth without any factual base. You choose to attack me, my intelligence and my "meanness" to cover for your complete lack of understanding of how fashion houses pay and finance themselves, and how this affects the end price of a garment. Your measley argument has continually been destroyed by me and my factual and provable evidence, while yours holds no water. Now tell me I have given you "facts" and where you can look them up TWICE now, not from "who knows where", why don't you prove yours? And how exactly are garments priced by injuries? How many workers injured during production determines the price? That's a novel idea.

      And I am so sorry idiot and simpleton are so offensive to you, I wasn't aware this was kindergarten. And also I am pretty sure Bell, Newton, Einstein, Tesla, Gates, and Jobs have used "offensive" words in their lifetime, so do you no longer consider them intelligent? Intelligent people use facts they can prove when putting forth an idea in an argument, something you seem to have a hard time grasping.

      Ad hominem- "marked by or being an attack on an opponent's character rather than by an answer to the contentions made". Just to let you know, Ralph Lauren is quite famous in the world. Maybe if you ventured outside of the mid west for once you would see that almost all people in Europe, South America, and China are clamoring for Ralph Lauren products. But then again you wouldn't know seeing how you have obviously never been outside the United States based on that sentence. Seeing how I own two Ralph Lauren suits, six pairs of underpants, nine pairs of undershirts, three belts, four pairs of chinos, twelve polo shirts, six dress shirts, nine sport shirts, twenty- four pairs of socks, and three ties I obviously hate Ralph Lauren and cannot under any circumstances afford his clothes, you are so right. You are right on another point, you pay for the name, not the quality. Which is why you can buy a pair of American made jeans from a non-famous clothing company for $48.99, and a pair of Ralph Lauren for $145 from China. And I do know what "allamericanclothing" is, it's a clothing company that sells all American- made clothing. Aren't I smart? Although producing something in a first- world country is more expensive in the beginning, the cost is soon made up in shipping, seeing how shipping something made in America to somewhere in America is cheaper than shipping something made in China to America. You also seem to have no problem with forced and child labor. Which is why those goods are so cheap, it doesn't magically happen. And I am not frustrated I am simply correcting an erroneous statement you chose to attack me with. I did not start this dialogue, you did, you are the frustrated one. And since you brought it up, judging by you profile pic you as well look like someone who A) can't dress themselves, B) can't style their hair, and C) can't afford "luxury" clothes like Ralph Lauren.
