hammonds85 I wish Crash Love had more songs like this, Breathing Towers to Heaven, Where We Used to Play and We've Got the Knife. It would have been a much better album.
somebody said this is the best of their crash love sessions. frankly as a fan id like to hear everything theyve ever done that hasnt already been released. like the other 100+ songs that got scrapped out of decemberunderground alone. stuff from the sts sessions as well as from crash love sessions. and idek if they did a burials sessions
kennedy shits all these b sides are so much better than most of what got put on DU and crashlove. Was it the producers choice or afi always wanting to reinvent themselves?
I couldn’t agree more! 100 words was rumored for years and it didn’t disappoint at all when it finally came out. Look at winters tale and all of crash loves b-sides, Their legit better than the rest of the album it makes no sense lol.
@@brettbarreras48 Take that up with their management, who probably sit down with them and work out a track list that they think will sell well. Most know that Davey didn't want Miss Murder to be on DU, but they convinced him it would be a hit. Well, it was, but I'm sure the band is tired AF of playing that song haha. I think Davey wanted one of the DU b-sides there instead. I still enjoy Crash Love, but I wonder what the album would have been like if they never changed producers, and kept on with the sound they were developing with these b-sides. They originally had David Bottrill, the guy who produced Tool's "Aenima" record. Then they moved to Jacknife Lee, he did stuff like Greenday and U2. So, it was like the difference between a darker sounding album, or the brighter one that we got.
Zave gotta love the last chorus when davey yells “go down in”. Afi always adds a little something when they do chorus for the last time that make it even better I love it! Been doing it since black sails
@FictionalAfterlife uhhhh me too. After about a year of thinking it was about a plane crash and the people who died. I get it now though. And it's still one of my favourite songs
It's about a reality that is unfolding in front of us but we cannot percieve yet. Everything is slowly decaying and we will be forsaken, most of us anyways...
Blue Eyes See Red Fainting Spells was Decemberunderground. 100 Words was Sing the Sorrow. The other 4 were Crash Love session songs. I've made a playlist replacing the lamer CL songs with those 4 songs and they fit nicely in my opinion. Made it a better album.
I didn't really mind CL to be honest I just thought is was to straight forward and really didn't fit with rest of their albums. I mean if you had me listen to Black Sails and then STS I would know it was the same band one album is more hardcore yeah but Hunter's bass and Davey's lyrics are very complex and out there and I love their writing style. But then you listen to Crash Love and it's just...different lol. I don't mind AFI changing their sound I really don't but I do want them to put effort in the lyrics and music ya know? I liked the two singles they released off the album though.
I smile every time Davey goes, "Oh," in a song...can't help it. :D
you mean every single song haha i love it too
I really appreciate the amazing works of this band. Irreplaceable talent.
I´m 29. Still love this band.
Some of Dave’s best vocal work IMO. Amazing guitar work by Jade. Great song! Super underrated album, this track should have made the record.
By far the best thing from the Crash Love sessions. Should have had more like this

Is there a Love button somewhere? this is by far one of my fav. AFI songs. Davey's Oh's are to die for!

Such a powerful chorus!
Zave gotta love the last chorus when davey yells “go down in”. Afi always adds a little something when they do chorus for the last time that make it even better I love it! Been doing it since black sails
Controversial image, great work with videos,cocerts,text!30years in music 💖💖❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
They should make a whole album full of b-sides but with thier newer sound in it!
My buddy in high school, his brother was in afi in 96, Miner in the jacket
Just dancing,hearing this!soulful,fulfills me with memories,emotions,i couldn't ever tell,smth special
some of these songs would have made incredible singles.
I keep listening this song over and over again, but Davey keeps almost forgeeting to say Mayday!
Love guitar here,inCl album
Definitely the best of the b-sides that came with Crash Love. 100 Words is a very close second. Breathing towers being a close third....
such and underrated song
CutieKittie999 the bass line grabs me every single time... The beginning especially.
CthulhuDarkLord Me too, I love everything! I'm always singing the chorus
I found this song on my own, on UA-cam. Thankfully. 😂 so glad i don't have tik tok and all that bs

Протиречивостьобразов,работа сконцертами,видно,текстами!30тллет на сцену!
i just figured out what this song is about!
Could someone tell me what's this about? I understand the words separately, but it's almost like they are randomly connected :)
I am not really sure, but the Deep-Ones come to my maind
@@locos3892 The Deep-Ones?
I want so bad to know the meaning of this song. Anyone have any idea?
It is about war, friend.
The Shadow Over Innsmouth
It's about a reality that is unfolding in front of us but we cannot percieve yet. Everything is slowly decaying and we will be forsaken, most of us anyways...
oh
Makes me think of 9/11
Is this about 9/11?
Misspelled "Heroes". Its not heros
Is too depressing :/
Crash Love was such a garbage album, but these bonus songs from the CL sessions are so awesome. Boggles my mind.
Actually I think a lot of these songs were Sing The Sorrow and Decemberunderground. And these songs didn't fit with the album so they got cut.

How they thought that killing lights was better than these session songs blows my mind lol. Afi b-sides are always gold. Synesthesia anybody??
this is WEIRD.they past their peak in 2003
