uk law says max 120 meters max high and 50 meters away from buildings and not above of any people more info here www.caa.co.uk/Consumers/Model-aircraft-and-drones/Flying-drones/ I mainly fly when is low tide so you could start from river that gives you 50 meters away from buildings and mainly operate in yearly hours aka 4am 5am. please note near city there are airline landing paths accross shard and tower bridge so you will see them every 10 minutes in 550 meters. keep in mind that as you could loose signal i radius 1km when airctaft is approaching.
