Lyle Sankey - Episode

Lyle is one of only four men to have ever competed at the NFR in all three rough stock events: bareback, saddle bronc, and bull riding. I would like to thank Lyle for my conversion to Christ. Back in attended one of lyle's camp in Abbyville/ Hutchinson, KA. If I remember correctly it was at Bronc Rumford's place.
I signed up to be a bronc ridin student. Buddy Reynolds was the bronc instructor. I think it would have been the 1st night of the camp/school. During the church service, there came a small child leading a brahma bull onto the stage. The sermon had been on "the lamb will lay down with the lion".
Jesus' pull was heavy on my heart and I made that walk to the pulpit to surrender my life to Christ. I dont remember much bout what I learned bout ridin broncs, yet can remember vividly about my commitment to God.
Oh, that night we had ham and Navy beans for dinner. Still my favorite meal.
