I been realized seasons ago Haley is more like Stan. For godsakes she married a male Francine. I know many ppl don’t think Haley is Stan’s but they have been showing us she is. Haley is just like Stan with bacon bits of Francine . Personally I think her character became a 100 times better since they moved to TBS
Originally, Klaus was going to be French, and named François. When Dee Bradley Baker auditioned, he told the producers that his French wasn't very good, and that he would read the lines in German instead, they liked his performance so much, they retooled him so he was German.
I think they made Klaus nicer too just to fit Dee Bradley Baker’s personality. I remember him being eviler in the first season and even getting Roger hurt on more then one occasion.

They are the same, just on the opposite site of the same argument. You could consider them a depiction of the horseshoe theory in which the further you stride to the 2 extremes of any ideology they more do they appear the same. Stan is as much of an hardcore republican as Haley is a hardcore liberal and as a result they are almost identical in their behavoir.
It’s really great. Especially considering how much American Dad got bashed as just being a Family Guy clone when it first came out. Here it is 18 seasons in and still producing terrific episodes on a regular basis while Family Guy peaked shortly after its revival.
