Brian Transeau: "When I'm making a record, it's like pointillism in art. Literally -- it's dot by dot. Like a painter. I'm working on a molecular level."
The legacy of a production wizard. The understanding of electronic dance music and all of its options. 'A Song Across Wires' is BT's highly anticipated ninth studio album, and another highlight to admirers of the special spark that makes his sounds glow. Carrying 12 musical promises of the Grammy-nominated producer, including collaborations with tyDi, Adam K, Aqualung, Tritonal, JES and more, this is the future sound of 2013.
The official follow-up of the critically acclaimed 'If The Stars Are Eternal So Are You And I' and Grammy-nominated 'These Hopeful Machines', is an album that reconfirms Brian Transeau's status as one of the most cutting edge artists both in and outside the EDM array. BT has left an indelible mark on electronic music and the technology and techniques that make it possible. The architect behind classics such as 'Flaming June', 'Every Other Way' and 'Love Comes Again', is the creator of the legendary Stutter Edit and has worked with the likes of Madonna, Britney Spears, Tori Amos, David Bowie, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Peter Gabriel and many more. It's impossible to frame his experimental and genre-bending sounds, making 'A Song Across Wires' a real flight of the imagination.
'A Song Across Wires' is the accumulation of over 20 years of pioneering music and innovation in the dance music scene. Recognized as the godfather of trance and progressive house, this album is a return to his roots in many ways. From the intriguing soundscapes of 'Skylarking' and 'Vervoeren' to the vocal smashes of 'Must Be The Love', 'Stem My Tide', 'Surrounded' and much, much more. 'A Song Across Wires' is BT fulfilling his art.

Beautiful...deserves more attention from the electro world
THIS PARTICULAR ONE IS FIRE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
To those that don't know what the "old version" or "prefer anomaly" in the comments below means, this is actually a remake of a song from the 90s Libra ft. Taylor - Anomaly. Libra was Brian Transiau's (BT's) moniker back then, original vocals were performed by brilliant Jan Johnston. Remixes (of the original) by Ferry Corsten (as Albion) and Solar Stone are some of the best examples of late 90s early 2000s progressive trance/eurotrance.. a genre that produced a fair share of fluff (not to mention giving birth to that stadium house abomination) making many music fans avoid it like plague despite many gems in it.
Oh shit that's good to know, thanks :)
Still, I note that her performance at Thrillseekers and Jan Johnston is the best that there is!!! and it is thanks to Jan Johnston beautiful voice!!!
@@batousimo To me, nothing beats the Solar State chillout mix.
This song ALWAYS gives me goose bumps! and it never fails to get the crowd up when i play it!
Wow this version is beautiful. Hearing the start I was singing it in my head even before I knew what it was (on the radio), then I grinned from ear to ear. I'd love an album of brand new interpretations of chill out trance.
Transformation of the classics in modern trends make me cry...
this is effin superb...i jus cant stop listenin to this...and to the 12 guetta fans...go sleep..
Emma Hewitt brought me here!
Out of world!!!
The legend.
Songs are honored with different interpretations all the time. Just because you don't enjoy this version doesn't mean you have to soil the experience for others. I also think Jan Johnston is wonderful, but anyone who looks at your account can see your bias.
Now we wait for the remixes.
market out your talent boss man perfect
See you in Austin!
Great remake ;)
i love e dudstep elements..this is nyc
superb..
Buena bulla
Hell Yeeahhh .. I love this
great tune BT ;)
super coool
This track made me want to get out of bed and spazz the hell out..in a good way...i love this!
BT originally sampled Jan Johnston's song and turned it into "Anomaly (Calling Your Name)" under the pseudonym Libra. He didn't ruin anything, this is just a rework of a classic track he made in 1997.
You just mixed the shit out of that old Mortal Kombat OST :)
The dancing scene that was broadcast online in American Pie
Gaaf!!
prefer the old version
maybe a chillout remake ?
Why wasn't the full songs on the deluxe album on itunes D:
The ORIGINAL track was "Taylor pres. Anomally - Calling Your Name"
The version you talk about with Jan Johnston and Thrillseekers on the remix is ALREADY a REMAKE....
No. The original track was Jan Johnston - The Prayer... which was then interpreted into Libra presents Taylor - Anomaly (Calling Your Name).
what song is 6:53
о времена, о нравы. ужас, пойду послушаю оригинал.
That song is W&W Thunder.
hey Madeon collaboration??? :D
is it just me or does anyone else heard the voice of Jan Johnston at minute 3:33?
Alexis Arellano just you i think lol
BT, I LOVE the new album man. Easily one of my favorites. But this one got a little butchered. The original is aons better. It still sounds kinda cool, but doesn't compare to the original.
That being said, your still the best artist/producer in the world.
@DSTHETICS
You don't know what you're talking about. I really don't like dubstep but this takes dubstep elements, and wraps it around the beauty of trance. It's effing epic.
I have nothing against the dubstep or any other kind of electronic music.I am all for diversity. There is just something that I just don't like about that part when dubstep kicks in.The intro is good and of course Emma Hewitt's vocals are amazing, and I like them more than original vocals.Probably bcz I dont have any memories or nostalgia attached to it.
if you do not like the new version of 'Calling Your Name' can get your comments on the back, this version is WONDERFUL, I love the voice of Emma Hewitt and Dubstep PERFECT I think this song is amazing,, Very good BT are king ...
It started out as some super hot Progressive Trance, but then it turned into crappy Dubstep at 2:45
american pie
I agree I did not like the dub bits in it. The synth before the dub and the build up after it I enjoyed but tbh it would have been a better track if the dub was left out altogether.
Школотека.
I am no fan of the dubshit i mean step but bt makes it somewhat tolerable, but far as the album goes best in long time, first one that i instantly liked every track ive listened to. Anomaly was the second track/remix of his i heard first was blue skies. He opened my eyes to many genres if music i would have never discovered.
american pie :)
Every Emma Hewitt song sounds chill lol Don't like the dubstep part - sounds a little off - too busy. The rest is beautiful.
He has ruined the classic :( Terrible EDM Crap.
