Hi, yes looking back at the video again when IJV gets a signal but egzumer does not the channel receiving it was on auto gain FST the other was on manual on IJV so that was the problem it seems :)

There is still room for improvement on airband receive. I'll keep waiting for a better firmware which can handle strong signals (if no hardware is needed for that). And the hiss on weak signals is irritating too.
Hi, so I have an AM Airbaind video going up today using the latest Egzumer firmware with one of my uvk6 radios :) this firmwares has really helped these little radios from stock so all credit to those guys, I have been looking at home base radios & other more expensive radios tested on AM on here lately & I have got to say mine performs better than some of them running this custom firmware, they have some hiss also on RX, but I can clearly hear what is being said on this test :) Check this video out a very popular channel:ua-cam.com/video/0k_e2JNVw38/v-deo.html

Hi, the main activity on my radios is on airband aircraft rx although I am nowhere near an airport it's just overhead traffic on am as you can see in this video demo although I can hear local ham repeaters at certain times at night, maybe try chirp I have a user guide I did just a quick overview of how to import local channels with all the necessary settings chirp makes it easy to add in channel names also: ua-cam.com/video/Mrtv9ezzDgo/v-deo.html

yes is better for make noise and win the contest for future trainees in half-done junior pre high school programming. As a noisy toy, it's not bad for children, but for radio amateurs it leaves a lot to be desired.
So you think egzumer fw is no good? I find it simple to use and pretty much all good on AM , other band is quite same on both FW , so may I ask why you claim that IJV is better? Why exactly? I used both FW and IJV is not user friendly as egzumer.
Children only know how to use toys and simple things. Things for adults are complicated and difficult for them. ;) bye perfect toy and bye egzumer "better" firmware R.I.P , it's absurd compare a toy with something serious

Spectrum for me is a killer feature so mods that exclude this to gain extra memory are out of competition.
The reason Egzumer was receiving signals that IJV missed might be that the AGC is set too low on the IJV radio.

i use egzumer think its better for airband just ordered a ats 25x2 so i have most bands covered
I like them both for different reasons tbh :) but I have a couple of UVK6 radios one of which will always have Egzumer on it :)

CW isn’t “like a Morse code”, CW is Morse code.
No, CW is a specifically a transmission mode.
CW operators generally use Morse code, but it doesn't have to be so.
