- I've had numerous requests asking for an video/sound clip and drive by video of my 2017 Hyundai Elantra Sport 1.6T, now that I have deleted the muffler and resonator.
I hope you will agree that it sounds fantastic and the Elantra Sport responds really well to deleting the muffler and resonator.
I apologize it took me so long to get around to this, but here it is and thanks for your patience.
Special Thanks to my son Jacob for filming in the rain and doing a great job! Thanks Sunshine...:-)
Please excuse my dirty car and exhaust tips...shame on me!...lol
Sounds amazing. I have an '18 sport. I want to modify it but also don't want to void the warranty. I love how good the car sounds stock, but this would be even better!
Thanks so much for watching! I'm glad you like the exhaust sound too! The car does sound good stock.. That's for sure! 👍
I have an 18 sport now. If I do straight pipe from headers to back and a cold air intake, does that void the warranty?
Great cars. I have a base model 2017 2.0 with 300k miles and not even a check engine light. Bought new in 17. Very good cars!
Absolutely Fantastic... I love hearing this great feedback! Thanks for the comment and watching and happy trouble free driving! 😀
Jesus! How many times do you drive a day!🤣🤣
You’re that person
sheesh. i got my 2017 at 60k miles thinking that was bad. 76k miles now
Crap I have a 2017 that’s currently having the engine replaced at 82,102 miles
I need this resonator/muffler delete on my ES just picked it up 2 weeks ago and I’m loving it kinda reminds me of my old srt4 wit the burble exhaust sound.
Congratulations on your new ES. Awesome. Yeah.. I really like the sound that I get from this setup. Thanks for watching! 👍
Oh what the heck so this is the muffler deleted and INTERCOOLER resonator delete? I have the same setup on my 16' Koup SX. Exhaust is all stock except a custom-bent axleback that's just pipe welded to the stock tips and I have the Tork pipe installed just the same. However, I do not have crackles like this. I'm under the impression I'd have to remove the exhaust resonator to get the crackles I want without paying much more for a tune. My buddy's 2013 VT crackled like hell with muffler + exhaust resonator deleted and that's what I'm really shooting for.
Thanks for watching and your comment and question. Yes.. Muffler delete and intercooler resonator delete. Stainless pipe to the Magnaflow Tips. I don't think you would need to remove the exhaust resonator for crackles pops. Yeah a tune would help but like you suggested, it's an expensive option.
Hi I have an 2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited & I wanted to know all the parts you had for the exhaust system? And any current mods you have installed to your car ?
Thanks for the question. I also had a 2013 Elantra, but I kept it stock. But you can get lots of stuff for it. Cold Air Intake, Body Kits, Custom Wheels, and you could also do a custom exhaust or buy a nicer sounding muffler. There is actually a lot of cool stuff for that year. For my car, I have a muffler and resonator delete, a cold air intake, new wheels, spoiler and front deflector, side window visors, weighted shift knob, carbon fiber shift console plate, custom cut floor mats, Tinted Windows and coming up I'll be upgrading the rear sway bar and installing lowering springs. That's about it for now.
Wish my 09 Accent could sound like this. Atm flex pipe is broken so sounds shitty but at the same time snap cracks and pops extremely loudly haha I love it. Going to install new flex and replace the muffler with a glasspack since I cant add the turbo😂
Sounds awesome. Have you dealt with any problems with the car, since the muffler/resonator delete? I want to make sure deleting the resonator won’t mess up the ecu or anything like that. Love these videos man 👍.
Thanks Nick... I have had zero issues with the car since day one! It's been absolutely perfect and flawless. 👍
That Blazing Yellow Elantra Guy thanks so much for responding. Do your neighbors ever complain about the noise? Is it too obnoxious with the muffler/resonator delete?
@@nickvogt3198 My neighbours are awesome and I'm nowhere near the loudest guy on the street. My neighbour has two hot rods/classic muscle cars that make way more noise and rumble. They sound awesome!... Lol
That Blazing Yellow Elantra Guy that’s awesome! Will a pierce axle back exhaust/sxth axle back exhaust, as well as a muffler delete, give me the same sound that your car makes? I’m just wanting to have pops while I’m driving.
@@nickvogt3198 I'm not sure if it will sound exactly the same, but I'm pretty confident it will still sound really good! 😎
Hey man hows it going, i just needed your opinion because i was thinking of doing a muffler or resonater delete, i have a 2018 Sonata(2.4) single exhaust. So could you please tell me which one should i go for? Thanks man
Hi Ameer, Thanks for watching and your question. I would suggest the muffler delete if you want a more aggressive exhaust sound. The resonator I deleted was turbo related and not the exhaust system resonator which would have made my car too loud if I deleted it!
Sweet Richard thank you and lastly, do you the cost to do a muffler delete?
@@ameerali8605 Depends on your setup and who does it, but I would think around $300.00 as an average!

Thank You Allison..I appreciate your comment and thanks for watching! 👍
Awesome, this what I’m looking for on my 2018 Elantra sport
Thanks Nancy...Have you done anything to your 2018 Sport as yet?
At what rpm do you let off at to get all of those pops/burbles at the beginning?
Usually any rpm will do it... But try 2000-3500 rpm! 😀
That Blazing Yellow Elantra Guy Thank you for all the help! I just got a muffler/resonator delete (I think you saw my post on Facebook), and I I love it.
@@nickvogt3198 Awesome... Yes I saw it and it looks and sounds great! 😀

Thank You Tom.. Yessir.. it's going to be loud on Cold Start and especially if you are parked underground or in between buildings where the sound will bounce around! Gonna sound good though!..lol

How do u like the look of the spoiler and the bug deflector on the car now that they have been on the car for a while? If possible could you do a close up video of the spoiler and bug deflector?
I like them both. The rear spoiler has really grown on me and I like the extra black contrast it offers. Yes...I can attempt to make a video shortly that will profile the deflector and spoiler.
Richard Miles thanks for all the info it is really appreciated. I subscribed to your channel and look forward to the videos of the spoiler and bug deflector. This is a new commuter vehicle for me to get to work in. I want to give it just a little personal touch.

I've seen the deck Spoiler b4 but they got it through a guy in Korea...... Did you do the same? I know bout keeping your subscribers hooked, but I feel you can give a vendor name out... gotta Sixpack for you and a Mountain Dew for your Cameraman! Thx richard...
Yo brotha i love the sound of the car. Was curious what your thoughts and input may be on doing a similar thing to my 2017 hyundai sonata sport. Appreciate the help!
Thanks Bro.. I appreciate you watching and your comment! Most definitely give it a try... I'm sure there must be a video here with a Sonata Sport with a muffler delete? I think it would sound good. Just make sure you want to live with the extra noise!..lol.
Trying to decide between just a muffler delete or muffler and resonator delete on my 18 Elantra gt sport. Is it a lot louder without resonator and muffler than just resonator? Do you get more pops without the resonator?
So my resonator delete was on the turbo side. I feel it added to the pops and gurgles along with the muffler delete. If you remove the resonator on the exhaust side..it's definitely going to be louder with even more pop's and bangs.
Ok thank you for the info. I think I am going to go the same route with mine and do the inter cooler resonator delete and a muffler delete.
@@RichardMiles111 Aw shoot didnt know that. Good info
Me too! I'm bout to get a muffler delete today. I was also wondering maybe I wouldn't need a vibrant resonator since deleting both muffler and (remove resonator just on the exhaust side) wouldn't be as loud and raspy? idk lol
Sounds like I wouldn't need a vibrant resonator? Just delete intercooler resonator? Hmm. Only because I don't fancy the loud rasp of just a muffler delte. Idk what yall think?
Do you get the pops from the tune? Because I don’t have my resonator and I’m thinking of getting a valvetronic muffler on mine
Hi Ali..no tune on my car. The sounds are purely a result of the resonator delete on the Turbo side and the muffler delete.
What diameter piping are you running? I'm getting my 18 straight piped soon but cant decide between 2.5" or 3"
Hi Jacob...I'm using 2.5"... more than sufficient! Thanks for watching!👍

Highly suggest a tune from Blood Type Racing, located in Chicago but can order online, had a tune from them on my veloster and so many gunshots !!
About to get this done to my car. I have one more question..... Did getting this done void your car’s warranty/exhaust warranty?
Not to my knowledge, but I suppose any dealership could give a hard time about it. I'm not overly worried anyway personally!
It certainly won't void the car warranty, maybe the exhaust warranty, but not the car.
That Blazing Yellow Elantra Guy would the dealership force me to re install a muffler and resonator?
@@nickvogt3198 I'm not sure... You might want to check with your dealer and see how they feel about it, as each dealership seems to handle modifications differently!
That Blazing Yellow Elantra Guy thanks
Hey totally and totally different car but do you suggest me to straight pipe my clk 320 mercedez benz year 2000 ? Would love some feed back
Absolutely... If you can do it and it's legal in your area... Go for it! I bet it'll sound great on your CLK... 😀
Where did you get your rear diffuser from?
If you're asking about the bottom piece of the bumper..it's OEM and included on the Sport Model.
How does it sound in the cab though? I put a flowmaster on mine and sounds pretty loud in the cab.
I'm so used to it I don't find it loud at all! I've asked a few passengers as well, and they seem to think it's ok.. Not overly loud or uncomfortable.
Nice yellow ES! I have a blue ES myself. Do you know if a resonator and muffler delete voids the warranty?
Thanks Ken... No.. It will not void the warranty, but I always suggest calling your local Hyundai Dealer and see how they feel about it, as some dealers can be very strict about mods to cars!
@@RichardMiles111 thanks. But with regards to how each dealerships feels about, I would think it is up to Hyundai since they are the ones who covers the warranty, isn’t it? Since they wrote the rules of the warranty.
@@anonymousmember12345 Yes... But your dealership will be the people that make a warranty claim to Hyundai. Everything starts at the dealership so it's best to find out how they feel about modifications. They are either going to bill you or Hyundai for any repairs needed. Some dealers are more relaxed about warranty issues when vehicles are modified!
Give revs .....my friend
Hello sir, do you know if the back led lights are compatible with the hyundai elantra no sport.
I'm not entirely sure to be honest. They certainly look to be the same shape and dimensions. You might want to ask your local Hyundai Service Or Parts Department to be 100% sure!
Compatible. I own se and installed sports tail light. But you have to do some wiring work. Your local dealership will not do it for you. You have to do it yourself.
I have a Elantra Se and I want my car to sound like yours does. Ive been looking into a lot of parts and things but I have a few more questions to ask. I also just bought a cold air intake. I was wondering if you could help me out?

Thanks Shannon... I appreciate you watching and your comment. I really wish we could get the hatch version here. It's such a great looking version! So my resonator delete was on the turbo side, so it really didn't add more noise or drone, but if you remove the resonator on the exhaust side.. Yes.. For sure more drone and noise.
That's is fuckinn amaziingggg... btw do you have any insta account? I wanna ask you few questions if you don't mind boss and i also live in kitchener. ;)
Thanks for the kind comment! 😀. Yes... My Instagram is "ThatBlazingYellowElantraGuy"
Look forward to seeing you there! 😀
im new to cars and i just bought my first car its a elantra i heard that in amazon they sell a muffler i checked and they sell a DC Sports EX-1025 Universal Titanium Flare Round Exhaust Tip would that work for a elantra or nah
Congratulations on your new car! The exhaust tip you mentioned will probably fit, but will not look good as it just slides and clamps into the existing tailpipe on the Elantra. It won't offer you any sound improvement, it's purely cosmetic.
@@RichardMiles111 thanks man what can i add onto the car if i may ask ?
@@facepuncher3641 You can do a muffler delete or chose a more aggressive sounding muffler. Do you have the turbo engine or normally aspirated version?
Holy shit I see this car everyday on Franklin 😂😂😂
YESSIR! Thanks for noticing! 👍
Feel like I seen this one sold at Volkswagen before when I worked there in Guelph lol
To my knowledge..it was never for sale at a VW dealership.
@@RichardMiles111 hm weird maybe was a lookalike. Still sweet car.
Wow I really wanted to hate on this setup but damn she sounds good! A poor mans Audi 😅
Thanks so much for watching and your comment! Much appreciated. 👍
kinda late but I just purchased a 2017 Elantra I want my car to sound like this. What kind of exaust setup
Congratulations on your new car. This is both a resonator and muffler delete. Contact your local auto shop and see what they can do for you! 👍
i forgot to ask, so that’s an aftermarket exhaust? i’m trying to figure that out because your tips are different from stock
Yes... Custom if you will..I deleted the muffler and had a new custom stainless steel pipe installed and added Magnaflow Tips.
So I have this car and I am wanting some more pops and a bit louder (can not hear it with the windows up at all) what do you recommend? I thought about a new catback exhaust but they all seem to be just louder, no pop (I want pops!)
And how hard is it to do all this?
Thanks for watching and your question. You can do a muffler delete and that will help you get the louder sound with pops and bangs. Or you can get the car tuned as well and there are several tunes available that offer the choice of more pops and bangs.
@@RichardMiles111 where can you get it tuned? or how to do it? I have tried looking in my area (DFW, texas) and there aren't any shops that do it.
You could inquire with SXTH Element or Lap3 and see if they have a tune dealer in your area.
Oh those off throttle gurgles 😍 Another job well done Richard (and film crew)
Robert Murray Thank You... Glad you like it!... 😀
thanks
Hi, what size tires do you have on it?
Thanks for the question, Allen. My tires are 225 40 18.
How is this car treating you so far? Im planning to get one and id like to hear from the owners regarding maintenance expanses
So far it's been perfect. The only expenses have been my regular oil changes. As a matter of fact you can watch my 20,000km review here.

Nazmi AB great cars, just got 2018. Had 2017 purchased in 2016 but body got damaged
Sounds just like my old Mustang! 2015 ford ecoboost 1.4 straight pipe exhaust!
Hi happy Friday!
The raptors won.
Its dennis from scarboro.
As i have told u b4, I deleted my muffler but the sound quality inside cabin is not pleasurable in my taste. I found out that @ (GT Custom exhaust) they have a variety of small performance mufflers in which they can attach to ur exhaust where the muffler has been deleted. You can choose from aggressive sound to medium with no drone. And also they are selling performance resonator with a louder tone with no drone. Price ranges from $300 cad. They only use stainless steel. I had mine yesterday & could'nt be happier. This is a mod that i think worth the money. Plus you gain some peppiness while driving. Coz they are also build to gain horse power.
Hi Dennis.. Happy Friday and that's awesome. I'm glad you found a solution and sound that worked for you. Sounds like a decent price too. Have a great weekend. Btw.. Are you a member of KDM Ontario on Facebook? If not.. Join us please!... 😁

@@RichardMiles111 подскажите, взял себе такую элантру , как у неё коробка DCT насколько надёжная?
what’s the guard you have on the hood? and where can i buy one?
It's a OEM Accessory available through your local Hyundai Dealer if you live in Canada.
can you link me where you got those magnaflow tips? thank you
I'd like to help you with that but Matt at Top Gear Automotive actually ordered them as part of the work he did deleting my muffler. Let me see if I can at least find you a part number? Thanks for watching! 👍
Richard Miles thanks!
Here is the model number for my exhaust tips...
Magnaflow 35227 Dual Exit 3" Weld On Exhaust Tip with 2.25" Inlet in Polished Stainless Steel
To think a few years ago Kia and Hyundai couldn't manage to make their 4 cylinders sound even remotely decent.
I know right! They sure have come a long way, and I'm pretty sure much more great things to come from both companies! Thanks for the comment! 👍
Where did you get the spoiler? I have a blue 2018 and I think that wing would be a good look.
cribs78 Thank You for the question. It's the OEM Spoiler I purchased through my local dealer. And yes... It would look great on the blue and congrats on your new car!... 😀
I see this car around Cambridge all the time
Yessir... That would be me. What do you drive? I'll keep my eyes open for you! 👍
love that color. ultimate sleeper. looks awesome man.
Bones Jones what is the color please?
Thanks Kindly Bones....I Agree...;-)
I agree, that color is amazing
Hi Richard, did you get the car tuned after doing the muffler and resonator delete? Sounds great and love the crackles and pops!
no its still on stock tune... thanks by the way.... if your wondering im richards son lol...i like to comment on his youtube page as i share the same passion for cars (ecspecially the elantra sports)...i also filmed this in the wet cold rain lol

How loud is it with the muffler/resonator delete, on a scale from 1-10?
Thanks for watching and your question! 😀 Outside... 8 out of 10, Inside... 4.5 out of 10! 😀

@@carguy8737 My Pleasure! 👍
So wait is that normal elentra or sport version? + how much did it cost to change the muffler it sounds dope and I have same car but normal 2018 full options, I hope you respond.
Thanks for watching and your kind comment. Mine is the Sport model and my exhaust delete was approximately $400.00 CDN. I'm sure you could do the same to yours and it would sound nice too! 😀
Richard Miles I might do it when I have enough money in the future :) thanks for responding to my comment
Edit: just watched a video about the difference elentra sport has turbo + more traction + more ft + better suspension, man it might. Or some like yours but I think it’s worth it and mine is 2.0
Richard Miles $400? They taxed your ass.
Mine was $65
@@brandonarmstrong98 Not sure I understand? I paid for the removal of my muffler and then install custom bent stainless steel pipe and new exhaust tips. What did you pay for so I understand how only $65.00. Thank you for watching the clip!.. 😀
Sounds good bro, I have the 2018 Kia Optima 1.6t - isn’t this the same exact engine?? If so I need to do this ASAP
Thank You... yes... same engine!
@@RichardMiles111 yay, I need this hahaha! Thank you
@@RichardMiles111 also would the shop have a pipe for the inter cooler resonator or would I have to order that??
They might be able to make one, but it's easier and cheap to order one.
@@RichardMiles111 oh ok, Thanks for responding!
What's on your hood and I like the spoiler where did you get it I have a white Hyundai accent 2018 and I'm looking to make it more aggressive looking.
You just get those from the dealer I have one on my Elantra that’s white and it doesn’t look as good as on that colour, I’m actually planning on removing it
Well I looked at my model on the website didnt have anything for my car related to a spolier or bud guard like yours.
@@dustinleach7056 I'm surprised that there is nothing on the Hyundai website. Are you in Canada or USA? I ask, because I've heard from other USA owners that they couldn't find the accessories listed for the Elantra either.
@@212nckable I've seen one on white and I thought it looked pretty good. Hopefully you'll keep it on, but I get it.. it's your car.
@richardmiles I'm from USA
Ur setup is only muffler delete an resonater delete? Or do you also gave an intake with a tune?
Muffler and resonator delete with a K&N Cold Air Intake
Bro that Audi is a sleeper in front of you man it’s just waiting for a race man
Hahaha... It's a nice car... I like that Audi Wagon for sure!
Nice video! I just did a muffler delete on my 15 Sentra Sr, currently I only have a straight pipe with the wicked flow tip. I like the sound but I want to make the sound even better smooth if you know what I mean. What else would you recommend? Magnaflow resonator?
Thanks for watching and your comment. I'm not totally familiar with the set up on a Sentra. All I did was was delete my muffler and resonator on the turbo side. Luckily the Elantra Sport responded well to the changes. Perhaps a different resonator or performance muffler might make things smoother for you.
@@RichardMiles111 Thank you for your response! I went ahead deleted the resonator and the car sounds good just how I wanted. However your car is super awesome!!
Do you have a tune ? Or did u just acquire those burbles and pops from the muffler delete and res delete ?
Thanks for the question and watching. They are just a result of the resonator and muffler delete.
I recently did a muffler delete and it sounds better than this. That's all you need for the first step of mods.
@@16GMOE Glad it worked out for you and that you like your muffler delete. 👍
@@RichardMiles111 Hey Richard thanks for the reply! Yours sounds awesome and after watching this video I decided to delete the muffler. The mic does not do justice. Also jealous of the color, not available here in the US.
