      You do. The country is filled with traitors just like him and the truth will not be told till Shiloh come.
      All of your so-called "great" news casters:
      Edward R. Murrow
      Anderson Cooper
      Walter Cronkite
      Cookie Roberts
      Barbara Walters
      Eric Sevareid
      ...
      we're all trained at Quantico by the CIA. The older ones of WWII variety WERE trained by the OSS. ALL of the heads of every major media outlet are part of T-H-I-S conspiracy.
      All of them!
      McCarthy was murdered, as was dear little Dorothy [brave heart] Kilgallen, William Cooper along with the 26 witnesses to the Kennedy debacle in Dallas who saw the "clowns", the shooters behind the picket fence and new the Truth that the Warren commission was setup to cover-up.
      No!!
      Nothing has changed. The traitor Alger Hiss and the Luciferian Spangler sold the U.S. out at the League of Nations clownery of 1945 and later...in the U.N.
      The men & women you love: Obama, Ruth Ginsburg, the Clinton cartel, Rothschilds, Rockefellers, Hillary, Bill and the Bush crime family...will burn in Hell for what they have done.
      The poor, sole Americans who were murdered on the way to give true testimony...those killed in their sleep...the ravaging of the great Christian Republic of 1776 by embedded, generational moles, elitist, Fabian socialists and satanists have worked for this day.
      It is your hour!!!
      Satan is the god of Amerika.
      Jesus is calumniated.
      Christians are hated.
      Women are men.en are women. Our luciferian leaders hate the 3 foundational documents that were the basis of our greatness:
      The Bible
      The constitution
      The Bill-of-Rights
      Now, we have no honor, no morals, no borders, no God...and...soon...
      No hope

    I'd say the closest, if not equal, would be Walter Cronkite. LBJ said that, when he lost Cronkite's support for the Vietnam War, he knee the public's support would also decline. It did.
    Edward R. Murrow had integrity and the guts to call out McCarthy as a liar. I wonder how he'd be received today, as divided as we are?

    • @The_Captain2000
      @The_Captain2000 4 місяці тому +3

      Walter learned at the feet of Murrow. The closest that we have today is Jon Stewart -- and he isn't even a journalist. But, he's has been one of the very few who has consistently been unafraid to stand up to and confront corruption and abuses of power and the proliferation of misinformation.
      McCarthy destroyed the careers of brilliant artists like Burgess Meredith who couldn't find work for many years until he was forced to take the role of the Penguin. To a degree, he was able to recover eventually. Many weren't able to. McCarthy even put Lucy on the stand. He saw himself as having limitless power and delusional enough to believe he deserved it. He believed he was immune to wrongdoing. Moreover, he reached a point where he didn't care and deemed no difference between whatever he did and what was right. In essence, he disassociated himself from reality. Thank God and Edward R. Murrow that McCarthy's power didn't last. One would think that America would never make that mistake again. As long as one continues to think, we won't.

      I believe you're quoting a line spoken by the character Will McAvoy from "The Newsroom", a terrific HBO show done by Aaron Sorkin. The pilot episode's opening scene was fantastic with Will's rant at Northwestern on the state of America. It's no less applicable today. Sorkin clearly has a lot of respect for what the journalists of yesteryear brought to us that is now sadly lacking- truth spoken directly to those in power.

    • @nsnopper
      @nsnopper 5 місяців тому +1

      There is nothing wrong with a news anchor having an opinion. It becomes problematic when we have nothing but opinion and streams-of-consciousness rants - whether on the left or right. The opinions of Murrow and Cronkite mattered because they reported the news AS NEWS - as objectively and matter-of-factly as is possible (without spiralling down into phenomenological analysis which . . . well, let’s not go there). Cronkite was deemed The Most Trusted Man in America. When he spoke from the heart, he clearly said this was now editorial opinion, and people listened.
