Great video there , I did "some" road traffic work just next to the rail line in recent weeks ( June 2023 ) & it's great to see it from your point of view ; I was so distracted by the trains as you'd guess.... ; Many Thanks for sharing your video.
Would love to have some updated cab view videos! Ones that aren’t sped up, they help me sleep at night weirdly. Is the trains slowing down through Bayswater for the works or to keep the trains in time? Always wondered
Just wondering based on the drive by at around 5:20 but is the train intended to stop and be able to open both side doors so you cam leave the train either side? Depending if you are continuing on or changing to another line? It just looks like the platform on that track is boarding distance on both sides of the train, would live to know!
Bayswater will be two island platforms, here you see the platform is on the right (in the direction of travel), on the second pass there will be a BIKE PATH to the left with a fence between train and path
Perth suburban network runs on narrow gauge, where the Indian Pacific (interstate) & Prospector (Kalgoorlie) run on Standard gauge (wider) (more-less this is the only section that has both narrow & standard gauges apart from small part in Fremantle)
@@RXTransit Trains can be automated to stop within a few millimetres of any chosen point. That's how tube trains around the world stop with the doors aligned to fixed doors on modern platforms. Jobs - sounds more likely. Rail is highly unionised, and any attempt to modernise will be fiercely resisted.

New real time cab view video coming on Friday. The trains are slowing down due to the area still being an active worksite.
Ay a new video
This is nice.
I suppose this is a good way to show urban development around the train tracks?

@@paulwilliams73 thank you for the information
Why is there a driver at all?
Because we still love humans ❤
Because jobs, trains on this line can't be automated, too much at risk, the trains never stop at the same length every time

@@chairmakerPete most of the heritage Line stations only support 3-car B series, not 6 cars yet. They can't add doors
@@RXTransit ah - ok! 👍🏻
