Seori(서리)의 첫 윈터 스페셜 디지털 싱글 ‘Cinderella’
이번 Seori Winter Special Digital Single Album ‘Cinderella’는 약 Seori가 팬들에게 전하는 크리스마스 선물과도 같은 앨범이다. 이번 앨범을 통해 Seori는 기존 동화 속 신데렐라처럼 왕자에게 사랑받는 공주 대신 자신의 길을 스스로 개척하며 인생의 주인공이 되어보겠다 다짐한다.
그런 Seori의 마음을 담아 이번 앨범이 전하는 메시지는 확고하다 - “타인은 멋대로 내 한계를 둘 수 없기에, 무심히 찌르고 떠나버린 말들에 상처받은 우리에게 이 곡이 한 겹의 갑옷이 되기를.”
이번 앨범을 듣는 모두가 이런 Seori의 담담하지만 강력한 고백이자 응원을 받아 앞으로의 선택에 힘을 보탤 수 있기를 바란다.

이 곡을 듣는 이에게 마음속 한구석의 자신감이 되기를,
‘Cinderella’는 Dua Lipa, HRVY, Olly Murs, MNEK, Little Mix 등 여러 유명 아티스트의 곡 작곡가로 유명한 Jacob Attwooll과 미국 유명 싱어송라이터 Maia Wright, JAX의 ‘Ring Pop’ 프로듀서로 국내에서도 익숙한 디즈니 뮤직 퍼블리싱의 Noémie Legrand가 함께 제작한 곡으로 Seori가 직접 작사와 전체적인 트랙 제작에 참여한 곡이다.
“I don’t give a fudge”로 시작되는 이 곡의 훅(hook)에서는 앞 pre-chorus의 몽환적인 느낌과 대조되는 글리치한 사운드의 퍼커션들과 때려 박는 듯한 보컬의 파워를 통해 이 곡의 아이덴티티인 “뻔한 느낌에서 벗어나 난 이렇게 살 거야"가 여실히 드러난다. 전체적으로 구성되어 있는 드럼 사운드들은 어쿠스틱 하면서도 디지털한 그 중간의 느낌을 가지고 있으며 이 또한 기존의 틀을 깨려는 Seori의 얼터너티브한 방향에 힘을 실어준다.
