@@Simping4jackblack Then you must be thrilled that Jesse is producing an FMV game with Jenks's actor (Rupert Booth)! I love FMVs and detective games (though I'm not sure if that's gonna be a detective game as well), so I can't wait to see it.
My autistic sister will love this, it's the exact type of game she will understand and enjoy. She loved Stray but it was a little difficult for her to play. This is perfect.
"Home is not about where you live, but where you are needed the most." So according to most managers/bosses, your work is your home. And the whole spiel about 'We're all one big family' was just them trying to tell us all along.
@@GlassedGamer Maybe I'm a pessimist, but I think many of them can tell the difference (they just say that to trick you into living to work, as opposed to working to live). I guess you can test if that's a true sentiment or just manipulation by observing their behavior, and seeing whether they actually live by that statement (making sacrifices for their "work family") or if that's something they bring up only when they're trying to get employees to do something.
This reminds me so much of when my fiancé and I got our cat. She was a kitten, but VERY skittish, was barely young enough to be properly socialized. She spent the first 2 weeks hiding from us, only letting us pet her when she was distracted with food. We couldn't give her the run of the apartment yet bc it was too big and scary for her so she was kept to the sunroom where she was more comfortable and where my office was set up so she could get used to people since she was previously a stray. Slowly but surely she bonded with us and especially with my fiancé. Now two years later, she follows him like a shadow from room to room and while she has never become the type of cat who snuggles or lets us hold her, she is always nearby and accepts many pets. Skittish kitties can be a lot of work, but its so rewarding when you earn their trust.
I guess that's the allure of cats in general: their affection is an achievement (with dogs you just get that for free). Dogs were domesticated from wolves around 19,000 years ago for traits like hunting and companionship, but cats were domesticated from wildcats around 10,000 years ago primarily for pest control. That's why dogs are more sociable (not only it's something we bred them for, but it's a process that has had more time to happen), and cats still retain their independent wildcat nature.
as a car person, I'm exceedingly thankful more and more to realize the 2 cats we had throughout my life never tried to knock over too many things. Sure, they jumped on stuff, but never tried to purposefully knock over stuff.
My sister in law got a cat recently. We let him out at home and he immediately jumped up onto me, and laid down on my arm purring and wanting petted. After getting petted for a couple of minutes, he squirmed around onto his back for a tummy rub and took a nap like that.
god bless cats who love a good tummy rub without it being a trap to eat your hand. My sister's cat Pancake is so chill about being petted on the tummy, even after a good meal
The moment the music started and it showed a cat shelter, I was immediately on edge and felt emotional. Then Dawn crawled out from the couch and sat with the old lady, I unexpectedly burst into tears. Fuck, I love cats.
I think it's gonna take a turn for the worst when the real Dawn comes back and you have to fight for Olive's love. Aling the way our Dawn will learn she's just Tsundere like all cats are.
Awww! This demo is so cute & fun, kinda has vibes of like a Cat Simulator. I have to admit that my heart hurts thinking what might be to come in the future, with the full release of this game. Poor Olive & Dawn both deserve a long happy life together & I rly do hope that is possible for them.
0:27 "Home is not about where you live, but where you are needed most" Hard disagree: that's not home, it's just a (hopefully) well-paid job. Home is "the place where, when you have to go there, they have to take you in". 7:50 "For an elderly person to get down on hands and knees like this, she's fit" True, but Olive's still elderly. I hate that I'm thinking about this, but this game is just gonna have me on edge the whole time to see who dies first (Olive or Dawn) - the conflict part of the story will probably separate them in some way. Worst thing is this is a sad story already, Olive's now a lonely person and that's why she adopted a pet (I wonder how many people end up in that situation...probably too many). And even worse, it seems they're trying to put Olive in a retirement home (19:20) because of her health issues (23:17 - emphysema is a lung condition that causes shortness of breath), which means she won't be able to keep Dawn. I'm glad they chose this topic for the game, though (people don't usually talk or even consider these late stages of life). 9:12 "Keep your distance, lady" Ah, this is the real cat experience that Stray didn't deliver (that cat was too chill)
Next Fest got so many good demos now. Who even have the time anymore 😂😭 but there is always time for Richardsons games. Death of the Reprobate crazy as it can be :D Curious about this one
At last... Jesse embraces the cat he's always been inside.
Even here Jesse picks the redhead.
I like how it parallels the cat and Olive. Both clearly want to be more independent than they truly are.
Oh, that must be why the game's called Copycat (their behaviors are similar)
Aw is that why Momma Cox named the cat in Stray Sammy??? If so even more adorable
Well spotted, that's some deep Cox family lore 🐱
@@pedrostormrage Been a fan for almost a decade and the stray playthrough is one of my favorites next to contradiction with dodger hehe

Yeah, that works for pets (their "job" is keeping their owners company, and that's what they're needed for), but not for humans.

@@ScrofarYeah, I love that. Belly rubs are fun to give and sadly my cat hates them. He won't attack the hand, he just leaves if you try.
NGL, I was thinking there was something nefarious happening at the start
When this game is finished, I have a feeling that it's going to break my heart.
Of course the cat doesn't want to go on the litter box. You need to dig up the front flower garden and do it there, like all cats do.
The moment the music started and it showed a cat shelter, I was immediately on edge and felt emotional. Then Dawn crawled out from the couch and sat with the old lady, I unexpectedly burst into tears. Fuck, I love cats.

“Can I take a dump? No? Story of my life.” 😂
This seems like a fun game, I'd love it if Jesse played this when it comes out
My cat loved watching this 😸 He's usually not too engaged when watching television, but he had a blast with this!
At this rate, Olive might die from a broken heart because that dinner part crushed my soul
The cat in the window near the end! Need to know more!

I asked my bunny Lord Woolsley how he felt being valued at 1/1000th of a scritch. He didn't dignify that with an answer.

And now I'm absolutely sobbing at the ending, i feel a bit deranged. I feel like that old dating video of that girl that starts crying about cats rofl
Interesting, the demo doesn't even touch the crazy plot twist they've teased in trailers before this.

I'm not crying, you're crying
aw this is so cute!! my grandparents have a cat that looks just like Dawn so i’m giggling watching this
This game is the feel good vibes I needed tonight
Called out...but true 😻
Jesse, you can't hug every cat!
The cat hunting music reminds me of mean girls
I just had to put one of my cats to sleep. This had me crying so much.
Sorry to hear that, it's always a terrible feeling, even when it's the best thing to do for the cat.
Thanks Jesse, I'm doing fine
They did the right choice having Octopimp voice this in a fake British accent ;D
Those lines, the cat shaped lines during the loading screens, They look like foreshadowing to me. Does the old lady dies at the end?
This game is so cat that it's almost painful.
She lost her cat only a month ago and is replacing it!
My cat passed on of old age (26 years) 2 years ago and I still couldn't replace him yet.
It took me a few years, but I did eventually get another cat.
This cat is exactly like my cat. Won't trust anyone for the world. Except food now.
Great game to turn off brain at night
Thanks Jesse!

Obligatory Aussie pointing out the Aussie accents. Look we're in a game!
It was nice.
Is this called "Copycat" because you're replacing the missing cat? And they decided against going with "ImPAWster Syndrome"

maaaan your story at the endzz😅 im so sorry

Why is there a person with a British accent pronouncing Jaguar like an American?
😺😸😼

This games doesn't know what it wants to be.
Game would be better if from cat's perspective human talk is gibberish.
