Tom want to thank you for taking time to put this. Watched 1 - 5 that was alot of work. Wish I would have made it seen this sooner got the FTDX1200. Great radio, you made it easier to use the 7300. Still working on the use of my. Wish that would have been made it easier on the DX1200. I would have made it easy going from 850 Kingwood 73 be back to watch the rest. KQ4CDPaul
There is another memory type, the "Memo Pad" or MPAD. The MPAD button is one of my frequently used button on IC-7300. It is nice to jump around or cycle the 5 or 10 memories. If we save an interested frequenciies by long press the MPAD button, we can recall it and save it on Memory Mode later. Hope it is useful. Thank you. Bahahtir 9W2GNU, 73.
Really digging your videos! Thanks for taking the time to explain the 7300. So often, manuals leave much to be desired. I have the Icom 2300H and it was a bear to learn, as Icom's manuals aren't the best (IMO). The 7300 has a better manual than the 2300H, but it's still not great. So thanks again...really enjoying your videos.
Hi, In Memory Mode:If we selected a 'blank' memory slot, touch the blank Mega Hz digit location, even we unable to 'see' any frequency on it. Yeah, it is 'blank' anyway. :) So, we can start input frequency in bank stack memory .. :) Hope it is useful. Thank you.
Also don't forget that 60 meters USB needs to be restricted to the 2.8 kHz bandwidth so you should check what you have programmed in your FIL2 (as you've got set on your display) to make sure you're not going to transmit wider than 2.8 kHz . (See ARRL Amateur Radio Bands chart: www.arrl.org/images/view//Charts/Band_Chart_Image_for_ARRL_Web.jpg )
Jim - It is good to keep the transmit bandwidth restriction in mind. However- the Filter bandwidths that are programmed with the filter settings I demonstrated only impact RECEIVE bandwidth. They do not change the transmit bandwidth. The 7300 does allow you to adjust transmit bandwidth. You have to press the MENU button and then touch SET. Then scroll down to find Tone Control. In the Tone Control sub-menu you will find SSB TBW (Transmit Band Width). You have choices of WIDE, MID and NAR. You will see that even the WIDE setting is from 100-2900 Hz. So it meets the 2.8khz restriction for 60 meters.
Your work on this video series is appreciated.
Fantastic series. I just purchased an IC7300, what I have learned thus far in your series is really valuable insight. Thanks for doing these. N7OMI
Tom - You have provided a great program - a must view program for IC 7300 users (like me) 73

@@HamRadioA2Z Thank you for letting me (us) know where the TX bandwidth settings are.
I can't figure out how to turn the scope off LOL
