ICE, IC, the Rhine, and More!

Here’s another video of an extended layover, this time while connecting flights in Frankfurt. I planned to maximize the six-hour break with a trip up to Koblenz and back, to savor the views along the Rhine between Mainz and Koblenz. I travelled on an InterCity (IC) train outbound, and back on a Regional Express (RE). The IC to Greifswald features a BordBistro, which was a place for breakfast with great views. In the opposite direction, the images out of the window of the FLIRT EMU were just as great.

Hier ist ein weiteres Video von einem längeren Zwischenstopp, diesmal mit Anschlussflügen in Frankfurt. Ich plante, die sechsstündige Pause mit einer Fahrt nach Koblenz und zurück zu maximieren, um die Aussicht entlang des Rheins zwischen Mainz und Koblenz zu genießen. Ich fuhr mit einem InterCity (IC) Zug hin und zurück mit einem Regional Express (RE). Der IC nach Greifswald verfügt über ein BordBistro, das ein Ort zum Frühstücken mit toller Aussicht war. In umgekehrter Richtung waren die Bilder aus dem Fenster des FLIRT EMU genauso toll.
