I am a new long distance runner. I had a heart attack 3 years ago and decided to start running to turn things around. Now I'm aiming to be an ultra marathoner and have been following some of the races online. Recently it was the Delirious West race in Australia that I was checking out, since local athlete Candice Burt was in it. I googled you, since I wondered who was leading the race. Upon that I've found your story about Gobi. I have had a tough day at work, with a door closed to hide all my crying. I was so touched by the story that I just can't get enough of it. I will order the book this weekend for sure.

What a wonderful story 🌺 Animals are so special; created by God (see Genesis) for our companionship. I’m so sad about the way animals are treated in this world. All animals deserve peace and freedom. I feed my two rescue dogs from Spain & Romania mostly vegan food as they are omnivores and thrive on a plant based diet, for the dogs’ health and because I don’t want to contribute to animal agriculture. Humans are actually physiologically herbivores and we can avoid disease/ailments etc on a properly balanced plant based diet. Meat eaters frequently have nutritional deficiencies just like anyone. I’ve had my dogs now for about 4.5 and nearly 4 years and they are healthy and very strong. Bless you 🌸🌱🌿☀️🌻🐕

A huge part of me wishes that Aardman Animations (makers of Wallace and Gromit and Creature Comforts) were making the film, even if it took two or so years to do the stop-motion work. Like Gromit, there would be no need for Gobi to speak - just the expressions. Love to you, especially Gobi. Peace and All Good.

And you don’t mention any vegetables in her diet and you say “no treats”. Then you contradict yourself by telling us how much she loves French pastries! No treats?
