That's because in lego, the hilt is actually somewhat functional. The actual one where the cross guards come out of the hilt make no sense. They can just get cut off easily.

This is actually significantly more enjoyable to watch than the sequels.
A frickin LEGO movie has better production value than a multi-million dollar Disney film.
That's because you can tell it was made by actual Star Wars fans who are passionate about the franchise.

It's funny, because canonically Kylo is pretty much just "Vader but shittier" at literally everything. His messed-up saber, his mask which even Snoke makes fun of, his anger issues... Palpatine would love such an easily manipulable apprentice, though.

To me, the fact that Disney approved this at all makes me think Disney admitted to blatantly copied the original trilogy beat-for-beat.

This made the Sequels better, you may want to say? Just like TV shows, toys, video games and everything improved the Prequels, which are pretty bad movies. And yet, very many people, _me included,_ do like them.
The Sequels had far better ideas and originality while not being giant toy ads. They had developed characters, told a deep story and were overall pretty good. I mean, apart from Episode IX. That one was rather terrible, I must say.
And now that these movies are all out, please allow the expanded universe to have some time to come in. Allow TV shows to be produced, games to come out, LEGO toys to be sold, and everything else. And you’ll see in 10 years, grownup kids of today will be at Interneting age and will be in love with the Sequels that made their childhood just like you all are defending the Prequels.
So any young reader: please don’t make the same mistake. Do *NOT* be ashamed for having enjoyed those movies. They were really good (cough, IX, cough). And most importantly, remember this time when you’re being mocked by older people for liking them. When new Star Wars movies will come out in a decade or so, please think about them twice, and don’t throw all your hate at them like we did. Maybe they deserve more than this.
And to anyone of my generation reading this, you may really like the Prequels. That’s 100% your right. Liking a mediocre movie is in no way forbidden. Just consider you might be emotionally attached to them because you grew up with them, with the help of third-party stories and products. As such, if you want there to be a fight between the Prequels and Sequels so bad, then let it be a fair one and allow the new movies some years to have an entire universe and fanbase built around them.
That's the problem of the Sequels. Enjoyable and amazing to look at...as standalone movies. Because when you look at the great picture, you realize the massive inconsistencies it brings to SW's canon. And the characters get progressively worse, worse and worse. Many opportunities lost (ie.: Rey's backstory, Snoke, Luke, FINN, for fuck's sake)
The Prequels do it, sadly, the other way. Very relevant in the canon but watching them is a suffering. TCW and other media 100% saved them.
@@mawinstallation6626 : Honestly, Luke is the biggest misunderstanding in this trilogy. All the other examples you give are pretty much all Episode IX’s fault.
@@mawinstallation6626 : Also, second comment here. The very top priority when making these things is making a good MOVIE. Making a good _Star Wars_ movie only comes second. And I think both Episodes VII and VIII did a good job at this. Episode IX was an _okay_ movie, and a terrible _Star Wars_ episode.
