Funny thing is these old ones are even better than the modern versions, at least the ones that I have. Where the two halves connect the weld was more recessed compared to my modern day version jerrycan’s.😅

I watched a 25 min video about the engineering of them. The German cans were the originals and were coveted by the rest of the world's armed forces. No one has since made a better one.
@@thewesty101 I think us brits made use of them in the Western Desert and then copied them, until then,I think we used square tins with very poor seams.
kinda like looney toons .. i know nothing about munitions.. i do wonder if there's much of a threat they'd blow up after years sunk and buried. 🤷 when magnet fishermen in Britain find stuff, they contact the police to dispose of it, sometimes actually showing the disposal. my question is, do they use small explosives to blow up the explosives?? 🤷😀🫣🤷

First clip as soon as he started hammering on the case and it opened slightly I was like “those are stielhandgrantes” in there, stop hammering. Then he gets a bigger tool and goes at it again…it opens and sure enough grenades, possibly unstable. Some things you just leave alone.

Don’t be mistaken. Their primary purpose is to find a jar “Full of Iron Crosses” and other saleable artefacts first and foremost. I must admit though, Identifying the dead and notifying families or repatriation organisations is commendable despite being grave robbers.

Those german fuel cans are amazing, the design was so good no wonder the allies copied them, the British called them Jerry Cans.

Still made new in Latvian to this day.
The woman talking when the guy opened the German grenade box has a VERY sensual voice.
You guys and lady are doing great work by finding these lost items and bringing the dead back home. You all have my respect. 💖💯
I had to laugh when he was prying open and beating on the metal case and opened it to find grenades lol

Hey! what did you expect? They're Russians.
I think they have to be fused. Still, not a good idea.

There is a reason there are so many more women than men in Russia.
Brilliant 👍👍
Amazing video , watching from Scotland .

The grenades are safe until they are armed with the detonators those on the other hand would be of some concern

Hopefully the film crew is explosion proof.
I wonder how many times these people hàve dug something up and it started to smoke or sizzle.. that would be very scary to witness
Wow, so what happened to all these treasures?
I think most of it just gets thrown away or kept by some of these people
They will sell it .Active bombs , detonator will be diffused as they have no value in the market
They are just simple gravediggers searching for gold. They dont give a fk about history.
