- Here is my Dragon con 2018 experience! I share what it is was like staying at a non-host hotel. You will some of the best moments from all the panels I attended. And of course #cosplay from yours truly and all the other attendees of #Dragoncon! I only attend one concert and rave but I show some footage from both. And I also show you guys how much of a douchebag/voyeur I am LOL
And I MISSED SO MUCH! There were so many more panels, movie showings, parties and workshops. I did not really film 2 of the other host hotels and I never went to the multi-level vendor hall. Dragon Con is definitely very different from other cons. It is so fan-centric and encompasses everything pop-culture related. The celebrities are more within reach as well. Such a non-judgmental atmosphere. This was my 5th go-around. I LOVE IT!

And I realize I misspelled Lucy's last name -- I am not Chinese. And I apologize for the shaky camera work and myself constantly covering the mic. I need to get myself one of those steady cam handles. A lot of it was due to my sleep deprivation and drunkiness LOL

This will be my 13th DragonCon and we stayed in non-host hotels for 10 of those years. We used the Priceline Bidding function and saved a buttload... picking the midtown or downtown areas.

I am the guy in the red shirt. The girl is Autumn, the green arrow close to her is her brother, the green arrow with me is biggs. Autumn and I were Super drunk and spent the con together. She was crying because everything was going well and if we ended up dating, she was scared she'd get hurt. Biggs was telling me I was a lucky man. It was super adorable. I was even crying and I just wanted to walk over there and kiss her the whole time. We dated after this, but it didn't last. We will all be at Dragon Con this year. If you'd like, the can tell you word for word what I said.

And just keep in mind... It was really late. We were all delirious, exhausted... And myself drunk. So I apologize for being a douche and documenting it all. If you would like me to edit that bit out, I totally can. I find it really weird how this has come all full circle now. And... Are we Facebook friends now? 😂
@@RoseJacqueline426 No worries!! I found it hilarious and so did they! That's why I added you! We were severely drunk too. Biggs, that Kissed her brother, kept trying to kiss me. That's why I was laughing when he had me on the wall and he was smiling. 😂 and when Autumn and I were kissing, that's why Jess was keeping him away. It was a great night.

Sounds a bit like comic con.
Yes it is very similar. I think the main differences is it encompasses everything in pop culture. The celebrities are more "within reach" and there are a lot of interactive events. I technically never went to 3 other host buildings holding events. There is just too much to do which is good =]

Does buying a costume at the store count as "cosplay"?
If it is a character from a TV show, video game, comic or movie you genuinely want to emulate...then sure.
