- Testing the difference between Turbo Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. Note that you can't downgrade Turbo so this was recorded as I progressed the Racer career.
With each Turbo upgrade, there is an increase in its duration and power.
Played on PC with a PS4 controller.

I love how it gives off the feeling that you've just activated a rocket engine yet the police are still able to keep up with you...
Either cuz of rubberbanding or increased hp
Only thing turbo does at top speed is look cool
It does make your car reach top speed but the police ai just rubberband to you so they can easily catch up.

Kinda piss me off at the first time, but considering the fleet of supercars they have i think it makes them way more badass lol

One of the best sound effects ever made, up there with the Seismic Charge from Star Wars.
There's never any sort of explosive boost sound I love more than this game's turbo. The silence followed by the sonic boom like sound is just sheer awesomeness.

I would say Level 2 Turbo lasts 12,5 seconds.
I think that level 3 turbo also has shorter cooldown
its like something that needs 2 keys to be turned at the same time to activate. so satisfying to use.

Using turbo to outrun the police but the police is still like 10 feet behind you
Yeah IMO turbo has never been usefull, it should unrealistically add like 40kmh more and less so it woul make a difference, cuz turbo its just infinite nitrous for seconds and wider fov but it is never a good way to distance ys from cops
@@alessgr9394 It is intended to activate at lower speeds, though. After all, Turbo boosts acceleration, not top speed. When speedometers turns red (blue for police), vehicle is near top speed, and Turbo will have less difference.
Because the police are already at top speed too, turbo just helps you to reach top speed easily but can't go past a certain point
It's only useful at the last leg of the race or at the beginning to get ahead of the pack and let the cops try and eat up everyone else If you work with a good cop team everyone should know you at least need one person to focus on the head of the pack while everyone else takes out the stragglers

This is why I loved this game in 2011. This was some real satisfying Turbo sounds and noises.
I like the sound of lvl lll turbo because the sound like F1 / fomula 1 real race car sound
this game had one of the best sound designs , even games these days dont have sounds like this game does
The only car they messed up is the Corvettes 😅 the sound is just not satisfying

Turbo just makes you move like the police cars. It isn't really that fast. It's still good for keeping the cops from catching up when you're close to the finish line.
Exactly, the cops’ nitrous is literally the racer’s turbo lol
Or trying to accelerate quickly from lower speeds:
• exiting a corner
• recover from a crash, or spike strip hit.
@@MzzzzzWednesday turbo is worse since you can only use it occasionally but its way faster than cop nitro. The amount of cops i smoked with a 180 turn and turbo is unbelievable, i escaped so far even their emp couldnt touch me. But racer nitro is still fine, its better at accelerating at max speeds than cop nitro.

Tip- people think turbo makes you go too fast. That's false. It's just a more powerful nitro. It helps you touch top speed faster, does not increase increase the top speed itself. That's why if you bust a turbo when you're at max speed, cops and racers still keep up with you.
Also, police nitro is far more potent. A full nitrous bottle (of police) is equal to Turbo of ¾ duration.

I don't know why but at 1:57 it's just perfect the way the car's sound suddenly reappears with a shift to 7th into top speed. It's satisfying

The turbo sound is just so orgasmic, especially at full volume!
Turbo is like a super nitrous. But all of them are kind of useless especially at top speeds. I rather use turbo after I lose all my speed than on my top speed

the nut from the turbo sound was so large I flooded the neighbourhood
I have played F-zero GX a hundred of times. But I just feels this is much faster and a lot more dangerous.
- The feel of the weight of the car while turning.
- The sides of the roads are closer. Especially if you drive in a forest you feel the speed.
- Cars coming in opposite direction. Dodging cars.
This are some of the effects that makes the feel of speed.
But hope they make a new F-zero hehe.

Its even better when your already driving max speed but then activate the rocket boost
I miss this in underground 2. Turbo at different tiers 1-3 all sounded slightly different. But where it really shined was in tranny upgrades 1-3. The mitsubishi eclipse is the best car to notice this. Tranny upgrade 1 sounds like that soft tuner shift where the car wheezes. Upgrade two gives you those sweet gear shift sounds we all love. But lvl 3 makes the gear shifts and red lines sound like gunfire

steam and origin versions are the same (if you buy it on steam you run it through origin) and wether its worth it or not depends on if you had the original and all its dlc or not

It would be better to do it with the same cars, it's exaggerated because for each level of turbo your also increasing the class lvl of the cars
One observable difference is independent of the car used: duration.

I was playing random music, and Excision - Exterminate came on. Then I used turbo insync with the drop of the song.

Turbo just simply boosts acceleration, not top speed. However, this would be better comparison (both without Turbo):
• racer's nitrous
• police's nitrous
