Prior accusation along with LBFAD popularity, that she had the job because of her parents connection, she only had childish vibe, she was average etc etc, all kind of bashing bad prejudice from haters. So here, she answered all that nonsensed acussation gracefully.
I was so excited for this drama, but after ep 9 I got bored bcos everyone speaks so slow often with sad face 😆 Only the eldest sister and Jin Fan make this drama funnier and bearable 😂 Hence I still prefer Love Between Fairy and Devil lol.
The story is more on the dark side and serious, I think you prefer funnier and brighter stories, like LBFAD. But I actually like this story more than LBFAD. Different preferences I guess xx

Not all actors dub themselves, it's quite common in China that most screen actors are dubbed by professional voice actors. A few cases like Esther can do both. One of the main reasons for the dubbing is so all the cast has an standardized dialect/accent. Due to China size, there are too many different dialects/accents, what may turn understand the line difficult depending on the region the show is being broadcasted.

Some actors that can dubbed themselves are Esther, Bai Lu or Lusi. One of the reason for dubbing is sound proofing. For Esther's baby voice just look up for most of her drama's as she has a baby voice in them but for me it's not annoying nor bad as people says.
