Hi Frostedsnow, Do you think I need to coat like at least 2 time for Waterbased paint like Vallejo? Because i am having a little issue with my paint got chipped after I put my parts back together. I usually let it dry for 24 hrs.
I haven't airbrushed candy with acrylic, only simple handpaint, but my enamel candy coat chips easily too. Best to top coat!! If you can't top coat with lacquer, at least with acrylic then. I brush some acrylic gloss top coat over my enamel handpaint sometimes if I'm lazy to airbrush. Lacquer is a lot stronger though :) none of my blue frame candy chipped
Does the clip on the each piece interfere with the spray paint at all? Do you adjust the clip to paint under it, for example? Do you have to wait until it dries to do so, etc?
You just clip any pegs or inners parts that won't affect the paint. You can paint under on the sides of the parts, but even if you don't, it usually doesn't show.
I've watched this a few times and am amazed at how nice they both look! Do you panel line after you paint? I have acrylic paint with Tamiya enamel panel liner. That should work right?
