    Hey, not bad! I see that you are using Tamiya's "Mark Fit" for your decals, but I noticed on the finished product that the edges of your decals are still visibly raised. You can prevent this from happening by applying a gloss coat to seal them in before putting on your final matte coat.

    • @frostedsnow
      @frostedsnow  4 роки тому +1

      Heya, I don't have the kit but paints only cover colors, not mold (unless you paint too much). It can make the crevasses of the details thicker, but shouldn't "cover" any mold details!

    • @frostedsnow
      @frostedsnow  4 роки тому

      There's lots you can do, like mask the pegs off, or sand it down a bit before painting. I do it the lazy way and just paint everything as is, but more lightly on the joint parts, and do a tight assembly. If things don't fit, then I sand or scrape with an art knife.

    wow awesome video as usual! your builds look so clean and effortless. just curious around 5 mins when u were highlighting the white, what psi were u using? im in the process of painting my 7 sword at the moment. still kind of undecided on how i want to paint it. i seen ur hubbies guncannon, so awesome and his decals are so cool too. keep up the great work, cheers sharon!

    • @frostedsnow
      @frostedsnow  4 роки тому +1

      It's set at 25 and neither Kughee and I change it. I know some ppl are very particular with the psi, but we aren't really! Only once when it was new and we set at 20 was way too low. Awesome! I'll see your 7 sword on Insta :) Kughee's guncannon will have its own video here too! Will upload it once he finishes.

    • @TyronePinson
      @TyronePinson 4 роки тому +1

      @@frostedsnow ahh ok I figured it had to be 25-30 cause of your spray distance. I like to get a bit closer so I spray at about 15-20 and when i highlight maybe 8 psi. awesome I cant wait to see it! I love watching the build process of other builders xD

    • @frostedsnow
      @frostedsnow  4 роки тому +1

      Oh interesting! Airbrushing is really a lot of personal preferences, but I think cus Kughee and I both started at gunpla studios that set it to 25 ish and don't really change it, so we are used to it.

    Not really into the aesthetics of the astrays but I'm loving those candy blue! By the way, is Mark Fit the equivalent of Mark Setter/Softer?

    • @frostedsnow
      @frostedsnow  4 роки тому +2

      MarkFit - good adhesion, but hard to move decal after dry
      MarkSetter - weaker adhesion, but can move decal if re-wet; also white-ish in color which can show up sometimes, not good for glossy kits
      MarkSofter - to make your decals soft if you have to seperate it between two parts :)
