  • My guest today is Sall Grover, former screenwriter turned app developer, now at the centre of a legal battle titled (I kid you not) Tickle vs. Giggle. Sall explains the background to the case, why it's so important to sex-based rights in Australia, and what is motivating the bizarrely aggressive trans activists who have pursued her through the courts.
01:20 How Sall faced sexual harassment which led her to set up the app Giggle
10:40 How the trans activists cancelled the app
18:02 How to distinguish between men and women on the app
20:20 How Roxie Tickle began infiltrating the app
29:32 The Australian Human Rights Commission representing Tickle and taking Sall Grover to court
37:52 The Australian sex discrimination act
47:02 The autogynaphelia elephant in the room

I still don't understand how this case is not public knowledge in Australia. I wish Sally all the best, I have donated and will do again if the case keeps going. As a father of 2 young girls this issue has turned from a joke about toasters to what life will be like for them and what rights will any of us have. It sickings me that this man can do this and the media allow it to go under the radar like you should just allow it to grow and be quite about it or your the problem.
Anyone who limits their existence down to gender and that alone, is crying out for help and support to believe in themselves as something more than a fad label

@@Giannas1096 Actually, most of these men who want to get into women's spaces have balls. They are fully intact, functional, & mostly hetero men who have a fetish of imagining themselves as women. They will sacrifice anyone,- the safety of women, the bodies of children, their wives,- anyone if it will help them get off. Many are misogynists, so if they can make women feel uncomfortable or get a woman punished for not affirming HIM as being a woman, then that's a bonus!! You can see why these men are so dangerous in women's spaces.

I've been watching videos about gender identity ideology, trans demands, & the TQ+ cult on YT channels around the world & how this cult is negatively impacting women, children, & LGB people (not to mention the decent T people who are speaking out against this shit). Sal is getting exposure on YT channels, but most mainstream media, along with academia, schools, medical providers, even science magazines & YT channels have been totally captured by this ideology. I've seen evidence of actual media bias in the U.S. to fit certain narratives of victimization, transphobia, & dividing people into oppressor-oppressed that I don't believe a word American media OR entertainment says about racism, transphobia, Islamophobia, black people, or any of the other disinformation re victimhood narratives they push. My understanding is that in Australia there is a total blackout of any news that doesn't support gender identity ideology & the demands of trans activists (which I must again distinguish from transexuals who had gender dysphoria & sought medical intervention AS ADULTS, are NOT delusional about the reality of their biological sex,- which one actually CAN'T change, but can only make certain cosmetic changes to relieve the gender dysphoria,- & who use the pronouns matching their birth sex instead of gaslighting people into using their "preferred pronouns.") These folks lived peacefully among us for years before this gender identity religion & self-ID shit was forced on society by the TQ+ activists who took over organizations like the ACLU, the National "Women's" Law Center, Stonewall, HRC, & other LGB-founded organizations, teacher's unions, the U.N., NPR (in the U.S.), the Democratic Party, the Biden administration (specifically the Dept. of Education & the most recent Supreme Court Justice), K-12 schools, universities, & countless other captured agencies & non-profits that have become all about the T/gender identity, all the time.
TL;DR - There is a total media blackout in Australia about anything negative about "trans" people, trans ideology, transitioning children, or the impact on the rights & safety of women. Everything reported about trans people must portray them as the most victimized victims who were ever victimized, & as virtuous, oppressed people who just want to pee & anyone saying anything even questioning this narrative or expressing concerns about other populations are called bigots & transphobes. Australian media outlets are either afraid of the trans demands mob, or they are completely ideologically captured.

I felt a great amount of empathy and sympathy for this woman. I found her comment that men are going to ruin yet another thing she tried to create quite heartbreaking and I’m sorry this is happening to her. ❤
That being said I disagreed when she said it is easy to set up a men’s only space: I can’t think of any men’s only spaces. I can’t think of anywhere where women haven’t got inside and pushed for their rights to insert themselves. Never mind the men’s only clubs in stuffy old London….look at the brothers in Mt Athos who are just trying to pray quietly and without women for spiritual reasons and the fact there’s women determined to invade a monetary that is set in a completely autonomous state. Literally nowhere in the world men can be without women 😂

    • @wdheideman

I have lost the ability to be sympathetic to women wanting women-only spaces because men-only spaces have been completely destroyed, places where men can get together to have brotherhood and support for each other in male ways no longer exist. We men are on our own, so women can just learn to be on their own too. I don't care that women don't function on their own like men can. You women made this mess, now you get to deal with the consequences.

    • @DonnaBrooks

So women are coming into your locker rooms & showers, your rape crisis centers, your domestic violence shelters, & your restrooms? Do they make you feel afraid? I do wonder why in the world (apparently Catholic!) women would insist on praying in a monastery with monks! That makes no sense. There are so many places where men & women can pray together & they could even have a time when women could come use the monastary's chapel when the monks are doing something else. I think it's particularly insensitive to men who have taken vows of celibacy. I would def not support women in that space any more than I would support men in a convent. However, I think you will acknowledge that women are not the same physical threat to men that men are to women.

The problem of course is that “male spaces” can literally mean like legislative bodies and universities, in theory; anyplace women were historically excluded from, but where women should be allowed in as a matter of civic and economic equality. Whereas “women’s spaces” usually mean locker rooms and spas, where allowing men in is more about permitting them boners at women’s expense than anything else.

    • @DonnaBrooks
      @DonnaBrooks 4 місяці тому

The example she gave was more about safety. You can easily make a space unappealing to women. It's nearly impossible to make a space unappealing to men. I don't even like when I have to go into a unisex or men's restroom because men are slobs & it's dirtier than the women's room. What kinds of spaces are you talking about? It depends on the purpose of the space whether a single-sex space is justified. If it has to do with an area in which women have a disadvantage by not being allowed in the space, then there's more justification for opening it to women. In the case of Giggle, however, for what possible purpose would a man want to be on that app for women that is not nefarious? Is he there to talk about being a mom? A sister? A daughter? About female friendships? About issues women face in the workplace? About menstrual cramps, endometriosis, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, or any of the other health issues unique to women? Is he there to meet lesbian women? There's no legitimate reason for him to be there. The whole point of women-only spaces is to keep women SAFE from the kind of men who would invade women's spaces! So his motivations are sus from the beginning. He is driven by some combination of desires to: 1) invade women's spaces; 2) violate women's boundaries; 3) intimidate women; 4) stalk women; and/or 5) get sexual pleasure from having his fantasy that he is a woman affirmed,- because he's an autogynephile & that's his fetish. While men deserve male-only spaces, & there are certainly some crazy women out there, men commit something like 95% of violent crime & an even higher percentage of sex crimes. Also, on average, most men are stronger, bigger, faster, taller, & otherwise have physical advantages over women. So the stakes are not as high for men.

They largely don't. The overwhelming majority of male spaces have no hope of every attracting a woman. Yes, they want to be in a few select clubs, specifically those with prestige. But I go to a jiu jitsu gym, there are no restrictions on women and not only are there not women spontaneously appearing on their own volition, the substantial group of male clientele has been completely unable to recruit women there.

Why it's difficult if easy everything supposed to be open to everyone under our present culture. This sadly ignore the fact that we are equal but different..men for example even after transition have more muscle mass, higher bone density, faster reflexes which means they should not be in woman's sports. Like metoo when it first happed it went too far to one side were people were believing things without proof and Depp vs Amber being a perfect example. This is the normal pattern when things are fuel by emotion and it takes us time to realize there needs to be a middle ground.
As to why they need a safe space that's both simple and sad.
The suicide rate for men is 4 times that of the rate for woman and the reasons are many. Men are taught by culture to be tough and don't show emotions and if they show it around woman they tend to get ripped to sherds. As a woman you know how some woman and be to each other so its not hard to see what happens to a guy.
There is shockling little support for men out there compared to woman and in large part this is do the culture we live in.
There also abuse which tell the Depp vs Amber trail was a lot less widely reported but is now increasing. See though some men well and do hit woman many men are brought up not to and wont. If a woman's abusive but you wont hit back what do you do...police are dismissive of guys saying this, go public and get ridiculed and likely not believed. Depp vs Amber is a perfect example again as he was assumed to be the monster tell we saw her on the stand. The lies and facts not to mention her behavior made it clear who was the monster but the first reaction was it had to be him.
Norah Vincent a journalist went undercover as a man and realized ... "Men are suffering. They have different problems than women have, but they don't have it better. They need our sympathy, they need our love, and they need each other more than anything else. They need to be together.
Cassie Jaye was very much a feminist before she was challenged to talk to men and realized much the same going so far to make a documentary called the red pill.
So yes there should be safe spaces for both were we can support each other and listen.
More importantly we need to start talking to each other again because that gone right out the window.

More recently it was discovered that men often became depressed and isolated. To combat this a community group called men's sheds were built where retired men could go to work on group projects using power tools. It didn't take long for women in their 60s and 70s to invade these spaces. Men are powerless by law to prevent this. So why shouldn't women be ?

She was surprised at the posts of seemingly illiterate people. She wrote I miss punctuation, spelling, grammar and language arts. She meant it as a general comment for everywhere on social media. She said she missed Art and culture in life. The administrator responded that her profile was suspended, to take down her comments or it would be taken down and my daughter was given a ban till 11pm on such and such a date. She removed the entire App. She left Australia and moved to Italy

I mean I think her point that “men’s spaces” are often “the corridors of power” is valid. It’s very different than a man insisting he needs entry to a women’s locker room.

@@KLKosi123 I was explaining this in reply to another comment. Any man who wants to invade women's spaces, violate women's boundaries, & make women feel unsafe is exactly the kind of man sex-segregated spaces are meant to keep away from women! Men don't have the same evolutionary biology-based FEAR of women that women do of men.

I really want to like and believe in her, but I reserve a degree of scepticism regarding someone who named an app aimed at grown women as 'Giggle'. Also, it seems like Sal flip-flopped on this issue at the beginning, trying to play both sides and I think she initially said that transwomen were welcome on her app. I feel bad for her and the stress she's been through though.

Yes, I would be very suspicious and skeptical of most women…she is probably a lying grifter, right! I’m sure she is just looking for a route to fame and interviews, even if it costs her a lot of money. I bet she even hired the trans activist and got him to sue her! I would definitely hold some skepticism, mostly because of the ridiculous name Giggle and because she knew enough the start to let men in, and then banning them would bring her more attention. Giggle giggle giggle…

As an Australian woman I see her as a hypocrite. Since 1960 here feminists have concentrated on invading and outlawing any male spaces. Even a community space for elderly men suffering loneliness and depression. Men are powerless by law to prevent this. I see no reason why her space should be treated differently.

What's wrong with the name? We have loads of online platforms with stupid names, especially dating / social networking platforms. Grindr, Tinder, Scruff, TikTok. Giggle is a good name because people associate it with fun times having a "giggle" with friends.

As far as a practical solution just to end on a positive note, go along with it and allow anyone to get on the application, and then also run up some proper software like a phpBB forum, and import all the members across to that. Then create a private group that's by invitation, and keep the X-rated threads on sections which are hidden from the regular members, and only readable and writable by the chosen few in that invite-only group. I can do it for you in a couple of days for less than half a million Australian dollars cash in advance.

As a guy, I don't understand this vindictive attitude. It's fetishistic men in dresses that are going into women's spaces. Men's libidos are the biggest driver of trans activism, allied with naive progressives. To not care that your mother, sister and daughter's privacy, dignity and safety are being compromised is a lack of morals
