Really really awesome, Jim! No fluff, just a good time, proud time out on the trail. Thank you for capturing all of this to share with us. Stoked you made this happen for yourself!
Thank you! The original plan was 9 days, but I was moving so well, covering the extra milage was comfortable. And it gave me a full day to recover before going back work!
One of the best TRT videos I have ever seen. Did not even feel like it was an hour long, I could have watched more. Congrats on finishing the trail and congrats and creating such an amazing video.
I could watch this everyday. I’ve noticed when I go on long walks now, my back hurts around my butt cheeks… I’m thinking my hips are starting to hurt. I’m not sure what I’m going to do. Mentally I’m not ready to give up backpacking
I’ll get that too. And in my hip flexors too. I definitely felt it after the big water carry. There are some stretches you can do on trail (even in your tent) that help quite a bit. I’ve found few UA-cam tutorials that have been helpful. And I try to stay active off trail too. Doing air squats and yoga daily stuff like that.
Great video, Jim! A lot of us are having those conversations with ourselves about adjusting mileage and rethinking how we backpack as we age. I've definitely made big changes in the last few years and am still working on it. As long as I can keep getting out there, that's all that matters to me. Congratulations to you, and well done on the film! I enjoyed it!
Indeed. It happens as we get older. I think the lesson I learned here is to not let one bad day bring you down. Will I have to slow down as I get older? Probably. But that time hasn’t come yet!
@@LostAgainwithJim Absolutely! I think we're far more capable than we sometimes think. Plus, we may be getting older but the more/longer we're out there, the easier it is. Conditioning is everything. We just gotta keep moving until we can't!
@@j.stephens257 Thank you!! I appreciate you watching! I only swam in Watson Lake. It was super warm, and because I was at camp with some daylight left, I took advantage! I had planned on swimming in Star Lake, but we spent so much time chitchatting and eating, we skipped it so we could get back on trail.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I carry a Anker Power Core to keep my phone charged. And I leave the phone on airplane mode to conserve the battery.
What a brilliant video man, your filming and storytelling are brilliant! Just brilliant!!!
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I was a bit apprehensive about putting this one out.

@@LostAgainwithJim Agreed! Thanks for having me along
Awesome video. I would love to do the TRT one day. Congrats! That's cool you stayed at the spot you had planned on staying at previously.
It’s a great trail! If you decide to go for it I’d be happy to help with resupply!
Great video, stunning scenery, real emotions! Did you swim in any of the beautiful lakes you hiked around?

What are you using to keep your phone charged? Great video!
That’s cool, I’ve never been recognized for my channel.
