This guy... I watch many very established gardeners and homesteaders and I'm not bad gardener myself but this guy basicly does this shit with bus tubs, dollar tree seeds and fish poop. He has honed basic resources into a balance like I've never seen before from any channel or garden. Way to survive 2x frost nights.
Seriously. Every time, I watch one of his videos, I feel so unworthy. :) He makes it all look so incredibly easy.
@@msjenjenp Yea this channel is solid evidence of what can be done with a "small" space managed well. Plus I can confirm the Alaska fish products, the 5-1-1 and the MoreBloom 0-10-10 are seriously magic. I've added them in to my bed preps along with my chicken yard compost and it's made worlds of difference.
And on top of it all his videos are wonderful in of themselves.
He's extremely organized, the difficult key to any endeavor. His dedication to his season is admirable.
The neighbor's red cat confirms that you did everything well!
So glad you were able to save the garden from the freeze 🥶. I love the expensive toy investment for Squeak. She is a beauty.
you are simply brilliant, amazing and a wonder to watch... love your videos:)
Neighbor cat just making sure you have things covered.
Looking great bumblebeet! I still have a couple weeks before my tomatoes and peppers can go out
Thank you for sharing. I'm glad your plants are doing okay. That water catching system is awesome. Your cats sure loved that toy.
Have a blessed day.
❤🙏
You did awesome ☺️ thanks for the tip for reusing zip ties 😂 little did I know..u can reuse em..thanks💯😻
You are so cute! how you saved all your plants beyond belief. A true hero!!! :)
Hi to Screech. My cats are finding garter snakes, in December, and playing far too rough with them-but having a great time Thanks for all the advice & ideas. Good growing !
I had to cover mine the past couple of days to protect them from hail we didn't get any thank goodness but I have a stack of those old milk crates I uses just for that! Work to hard on them to watch them die. I know you do! Glad you didn't loose any Buddy. 💙
Hi. Love the Squeak time !! Very creative using the skate board, you better watch out for kids borrowing your board. Peace to you and yours
That's a great dedication and hardwork towards your garden. Man... how organized you are.
Nice vegetable garden I'm glad mostly everything survived the cold weather 🌡️
You are so organized, wish i was like that😅 everything is perfect
Rock Hill, SC here. We caught that same freeze! All me and my gardening friends managed to cover everything with sheets, red solo cups... anything! Saved all of our gardens!
And the most organized and hardworking award goes to you.. great work.. it's a pleasure to watch these videos.
Glad the garden survived! I'm in zone 7 and plant my frost sensitive crops mid May, just to be sure. 👍
Cute Squeak just adorable for sure! Jealous of your garden, looks fantastic, great job well done!
We had frost and 4" of snow for 2 consecutive days last week...had to cover all my seedlings and hydrangea macrophylla with old sheets, etc...but cannot imagine all that garden beds with greens to cover....hopefully they all survived the frost.
I live in Guilford county... didn’t bother covering my plants at all last week and they still look fab. It pays to live in the city 😎
You're getting your exercise in that's for sure, especially moving that large tub of water from your rain barrels. Gardening is exercise for me too, yanking and digging out old shrubs, refreshing the dirt in the raised garden beds, etc
Love your transporter device!!🙂
Thanks for tip on the zip ties. You had a lot of pails and tubs to use as covers. I got my tomatoes in early but had to cover them with a tarp. I waited til after the big storm to put up the cages as well.
Glad to see it all survived. I was running around covering my garden those nights as well. April can trick ya.
Wow I never knew I could do that to the zip ties, to reuse? Thanks❤️❤️❤️
Can't wait for your harvest videos
Glad everything survived. Looking good Stay tune don’t get too comfy . We usually get a frost in May
Wow. That is a great use of basic stuff
Awesome. So glad they made it. Close one.
High-tech transporter device👍👍👍
Thank you for your precise helpful Gardening knowledge and tips in your video! Your videos are becoming my new favorite ones to watch and learn. Thank you!❣
The cat is like what is the guy doing 😂😂😂😂🐱
Excellent video, BubbleBeet. You are really help us in our own gardens!
Those 2 nights killed some of my peppers. Twas annoying.can totally relate. Same zone.
Thank you for the tips & tricks!
That's fast editing. But yes I remember that freeze. I had to bring in my plants in too. Gotta say I love to see someone in my own climate Zone do gardening and having to deal with the same environmental factors. But also shows me that I have the potential to grow those plants too.
hi, yes covering the plants isnt my favorite thing to do but i dont mind a couple times. id prefer covering them and having larger developed plants than waiting a few weeks later to transplant. thx
Beautiful growing 😊
Yes, I missed your videos
Keep the videos coming.....live it.
Awesome video. Thank you for sharing.
Wow, all kinds of good ideas!
Thank you very much for sharing, keep safe
Great trips 👍👍
Hello from Australia. I love your channel!!! Have been watching for years! Love the way you start the seeds in bags. FYI you can buy cable ties on ebay that have a built in "tab" so you can release them with just a press. Great way to reduce single use plastic.
Yes we had the freeze in Va. but we covered our new busboxes filled with lettuce, beets and kale on our deck. Our potatoes we covered well in the field and they did fine.
Thank you for your insight on freezing weather. this is my first garden and they say the temp will be 24 f degrees. by the way beautiful cat!
Nice sharing video
It got REALLY cold here in the northeast last week, down into the 30s in the DAYTIME! Thursday was my birthday and I wanted to have a cook-out for it... but it was cold enough to snow (I'm surprised it didn't lol). The roller coaster temps are just crazy this year. Maybe next year it will be warm enough.
I needed those last week!
As usual, you were well prepared and organized. Such a pain in the ass dealing with freezes. And of course, it had to be windy. It's so much extra work. It's getting ready to get hotter than 12 levels of Hell in Central Florida, but so far everything is doing well. I armed myself with every organic pest and fungus spray known to man this year. I have been using Spinosad for the leaf miners that destroyed everything last season. So far, so good. I am not seeing any new damage. Cool tip on the cable ties.
hi, yes the weather looks to be warming up nicely finally. ive been having a hard time trying to buy the fungicide Actinovate. i used it last year and it seemed to help stop blight on the tomatoes. In the current situation weird stuff sometimes is hard to source. thx
I love your video thanks
awesome!
Good video enjoyed it thx for the info Be safe
greetings from Italy
Beautiful place to live with a cat. Happy Squeak!
We had the same "frost" here in Texas. You sir have the coolest functional garden. Pretty cool cat too....how do you keep unwanted cats out of your garden???
hi, the cats dont mess with the garden. the fence keeps them away from the beds and the containers are high up. i sometimes catch my cat peeing in the tubs on my deck, but a few times doesnt hurt the plants. eventually they plants get big enough that she cant use it as a litter box. thx
@@BubbleBeet awesome. Thanks for the response!!! I really got the gardening bug from watching your video's. You have that method down!!!
a lot of work from experience but well worth it good luck
I started lettuce in September and I am eating from them now in April.. I live in Western NY
I transplanted my watermelon today and covered them since it will get down to 49 degrees tonight.
Good video 👍👍🧐🧐🐈🐞🌻🌼
Anh thật tuyệt vời.anh là người đàn ông khéo tay.vườn rau củ quả nhà anh trồng thật tuyệt vời
I love your high tech ideas!!! Where did you get the green house from?
Glad you only had minimal freeze damage
we had a bit of a freeze here, Hershey PA. zone 7..hadn't put peppers/tomatoes in yet..but the fig took a little hit...
Вы большой молодец,интересно придумали.Жаль ваши растения,возможно,они выживут .Может быть посадить заново?Скейтборд-интересное решение,оригинальное и умное .Всего самого доброго.
I was wondering how your plants did with the freeze. We had not planted ours yet, so we were able to bring them in.
Ugh we had the same thing up in zone 5/6. Really cold with high winds.
V3ry organized
How many inches high was those grey container used for greens on balcony? Description not found on Amazon for height. Thanks for your cold weather tips.
hi, grey boxes are 7 inches tall. thx
Nice video!
Thanks!
I left the first like to yeahhhh
hi, thanks :)
Lol! Aren’t cat litter containers the Best!!! Big cat & dog food bags are also very insulated. I tie them onto outside pipes. Agriculture zone 8 b.
Hi
Is that husky plastic sheet safe on potted fruit trees?? I don’t know if it’s breathable
👍👍👍
So you watered everything first?? Kinda looked as you did...
would you still go through all these measures if it only goes down to 36/37 degrees? or is it not necessary unless it dips down to 32/33 or below?
hi, it depends. u cant always trust the weather forecast, they predicted 33 and 34 on these specific nights but it actually got down to 32 and 31. A forecast of 36 can still cause a frost that will do damage.
I'm the first comment hiiii Mr gradner
hello!
What gardening zone is this in?
thought I was the only one using a skateboard as a dolly.
Here in Finland, it's still frosty nights. How does the plant survive in the greenhouse?
hi, the greenhouse is like a ready made tarp covering so it helps block the frosty air and keeps the temperature from falling as low as the outside. thx
Can you use plastic bags ?
How old is squeek? And is it a boy or a girl?
Are all the cats in your videos yours?
hi, just the black cat is mine. the other cats are locals that live nearby and visit.
@@BubbleBeet Hi, what's it name?
Don’t know what I did wrong but my plants didn’t survive even though I protected them with plastic and cloth frost😞😞
No need to cover the lettuce and beets. They like the cold weather and can survive a frost perfectly fine.
lettuce can handle freeze
hi, yes but sometimes the leaves can get a little damaged. i had the extra tubs so it was easy to drop em on top. thx
Better wait 2 weeks and plant then cover everything in hurry.
Can you get more hyped up in your videos?? Its kinda boring without. No hate
Figs are hardy, fyi.
