Creating a model scene - Coffee Tasting

Coffee is an integrated part of daily life for most Danes and it was like that in the mid-1950s as well, the era I am modelling. At that time coffee, however, was relatively expensive and most Danes would use surrogats to stretch the coffee beans a little further. One of the leading surrogat companies was "Rich's" and one of their VW-vans has pulled up at the city square together with similar vans from the Swedish coffee company "Gevalia" and a local grocery store "Poul Rasmussen". Together with the local shop owners association the three companies have come together to promote their products and hand out free samples. The VW-vans are based on Brekina's classic model, but in special version for the Danish Market by a company called Nordic Scale Models.
