As the Income Tax Return (ITR) filing season approaches its peak, there has been a growing demand for extending the ITR filing deadline for the Assessment Year (AY) 2024-25 from July 31, 2024, to August 31, 2024 due to Technical glitches on Income tax Portal.
Some Taxpayers suggest to government to change the due date permanently form 31st July to 31st August as form 26AS and AIS updated in the mid of June and only one and half months time period left with professionals and taxpayers to file ITRs.

Hello mam I have a query
I have filed itr 2 tax was payable bt by mistake I have filed without payment of tax then after some time I made realise I have forgot to pay tax then I have filled revised return nd pay tax also.
Bt the status of revised return is not showing, they are only showing status of original return

Date extension is a must. The app is very slow, most user unfriendly and most complicated and above all prefilling is not complete.
IT department has all the figures of taxpayers and that figures should be filled at the appropriate column.

आपने जो बोला की date extend नही होना है सिर्फ late free नहीं लगनी चाहिए.. लेकीन loss carried forward का क्या... इस लिये date extend होनी चाहिए

ydi disable dependent ka 80DD mein 75000 ka deduction liya h to same usi disable person(senior citizen) ka 80 D mein bhi medical expenditure ka deduction bhi le skte hain kya ( 80d mein deduction le skte hain)

Many people have complained that income tax Portal is not working properly, so they can't File the Return till 31st July, 2024. So the Date should be extended for a month that's upto 31st August, 2024
हाँ, ITR की DATE एक्सटेंशन होनी चाहिए ताकि टैक्स प्रोफेशनल के साथ साथ टैक्स पेयर को भी राहत मिल सके. पोर्टल भी काफ़ी स्लो हैं.

1. Please make last date to file IT return for non Tax Audit cases August 31 perminantly.
2. Please allocate some amount for smooth functioning of IT portal.
Mam meri pension and 194c (ECHS mein job) se income hai aur meine itr1 file Kiya tha tab 139(9) ka notice Mila hai mujhe kon sa ITR form choose karna chahiye
They can charge 5k but it should be deemed to be advance tax ,if due.
Revised itr me tax tds tax refund le sakte hai mam ya nahi

Abhi govt kehti ki india mein sirf 2 % hi tax payer hai. Aur tab yeh position hai. Govt har saal new forms or conditions apply karti hai bina kisi expert se salah liye aur usko thop deti hai jo taxpayer hai ya itr fill karte hai. Hona to yeh chahiye ki jo itr bharta hai uski koi benefit milna chahiye but yahan to itr bharna hi ek ladai hai. Baki case aur assessment to alag se hai. Galat system
