Fun Fact: There are only two characters in all of the main line Mario Kart games (excluding guests) that didn’t make it to Tour, Paratroopa and Honey Queen. The poor bee couldn’t even make it the mobile game, DK JR MADE IT TO THE MOBILE GAME 😂😂
Another thing I loved about 7, that 8 & deluxe did away with: -Being able to influence your movement mid-trick -Diving/tilting your kart forward, to get a speed boost underwater -gaining speed &/or altitude, with gliders -Using a shroom via glider, to extend glider time & pull off unique cuts
and, Most Importantly: Characters & statistics were properly balanced, from the get go. Outside of using monster wheels on some setups: no particular one had an advantage, over the other.
The MK7 nitro tracks in this game were so hit or miss. Both Wuhu Island tracks, Rainbow Road, Warios Shipyard, they were great. But next week will be fun, or rather sad, to see which retro tracks didn’t come back… we already know 1 and I don’t even need to say it
Man why Nintendo wanna erased away Maka Wuhu??? That both of those tracks brings back a nostalgic vibe on the Nintendo Wii system... It reminds me in my childhood days of a sweet lovely gameplay of Wii Resort, I remember the duel fights, the balloon battle with the jets and even the bicycling race where you bicycle across the Wuhu Mountain... Those were actually the good old days of Nintendo times and it's depressing Nintendo wanted to erase some of my childhood dreams away.... 😔
20:15 almost every single Mario Kart track has been remade for Mario Kart Wii, the only ones that haven't been remade are some of the Arcade tracks. Also if you return to custom tracks, don't just do CTGP, there's way more to custom tracks than just CTGP. Packs like Mario Kart Midnight, Variety Pack, and Retro Rewind are some phenomenal packs you should check out to get a better feel for the community.
It would only make sense for the rest of Mario Kart 7's 16 Nitro tracks to be added in the next Mario Kart game through the base game and whatever DLC they'll have for it. Speaking of Mario Kart Wii Custom Tracks, so much has been added to CTGP as well as entirely new custom track distributions. You'd absolutely love it.
3:14 I forgot I wrote that comment in the live chat LOL. In the PAL version, we had many different names for each track, including Cheep Cheep Lagoon, which was called Cheep Cheep Cape instead. It's a very simple level showing off the underwater mechanic, but I just love the music on that track, and I'll be sad when it goes offline. I also listened to Shy Guy Bazaar's music outside of the game for the first time recently, and I never realised just how good that song is too! Shame you can barely hear it over the sound of the vehicles.
Of course, this is fan-maintained online support, so who knows what could happen? Wiimmfi is still going strong though, so maybe Nintendo simply doesn't care about fan servers existing.
@PKSparkxxDH Wiimifi hasn't been shutdown, so I doubt they'll touch Pretendo for a hot minute, especially since the creator of CTGP-7 , Pablo, got them to update the game due to a RCE exploit with the game's data.
Yeah I still don't understand why Mario Kart DS had VS Races, but Mario Kart 7 didn't for single player. VS Races are exclusive to local multiplayer and online which was irritating.
its really sad that the 3ds is dead. It was my first console i ever owned and MK7 was the technically 2nd game i got (the first was madden i didnt play that much) MK7 was the game for me early on. It sucks that I never got to play online that much too cause i dropped it so much that the wireless function glitched out. It's fine now but man. I also lost MK7 a long time ago so that also sucks I'm going to miss the 3ds
I know im planning on playing smash and pokemon before the end idk if id be able to get a new copy of mario kart and get everything back in time :/@@PKSparkxxDH
i'm not going to lie, i never played mk7, but it looks like it was a lot of fun. mad that the maka wuhu and the other island track never came back. but thanks for another great video pk, keep up the great work!!!!
I'm so glad we have the third party pretendo servers that's going to replace the 3DS and Wii U servers only downside obviously is one has to have both consoles hacked to play third party services online, which both of mine are hacked I just wish Nintendo could at least give us two more extra years with the online servers since that would give the curators behind pretendo more time to further develop and critique their third-party services but they've already gotten a lot of work done so I think we'll be good, and maybe since Nintendo wants to do this in April maybe they'll be like April Fool's huh? no? dang okay😢....
Enjoy your time at Wrestlemania. I'm subscribed, but I hope UA-cam starts recommending your videos to me again. Oh, and if you have a separate channel for Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh (Master Duel) content, let me know. Or even the odd Dragon Ball content. (I hope you're excited for Sparking Zero.)
Mario Kart 7 is an interesting game. I like it myself, but don't play it very often these days. Not only is 8 Deluxe a better overall game, but my first generation Nintendo 3DS has a faulty L button. I echo your thoughts on Maka Wuhu. Although I imagine it would lose a bit of its visual flair in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, just seeing it on a home console would have been fantastic. Wuhu Loop is another good one. Maybe Nintendo doesn't want to recall the Wii era that much...🤔 Mario Circuit here is quite good. I like driving inside of Peach's Castle. Maybe it would have been easy to confuse it for the DS Mario Circuit, which _is_ in 8 Deluxe. Daisy Hills is a picturesque locale that made good use of gliding; likewise, Cheep Cheep Lagoon breaks in underwater driving. Wario being a full-time antagonist would be interesting. Seeing that he has two series of his own, though, I like to think that he's too busy to worry about messing with Mario as much. Still, it'd be cool to have Wario and Bowser have some kind of antagonism in a mainline Mario romp. Wario Shipyard and Bowser's Castle are decent tracks. I'm interested in your thoughts on the retro courses, PK.
It honestly sucks Nintendo doesn't believe in nostalgia. MK7 isn't super nostalgic for me since I am a 90s kid, but I know there are tons of kids out there that grew up with this game. 😭😭❤️
I just wanted to let you know that when I was doing a upcoming *Community Post* on my *Channel* the other day, I gave *YOU* a personal *Shout-Out* for being such an *Inspiration* to what I was trying to accomplish and it was my way of saying *THANK YOU* to what you mean to my life!!! ~ JonseyG 👲💖

Gotta love when Nintendo knows how to choose characters (not)
Another thing I loved about 7, that 8 & deluxe did away with:

-gaining speed &/or altitude, with gliders

Gliding is definitely MUCH better in MK7 than 8.
6:40 Maybe from Mario Kart Tour? It's been on there for a while.
The MK7 nitro tracks in this game were so hit or miss. Both Wuhu Island tracks, Rainbow Road, Warios Shipyard, they were great. But next week will be fun, or rather sad, to see which retro tracks didn’t come back… we already know 1 and I don’t even need to say it
First The Wii U & Now The 3DS Too, Why Is Nintendo Doing This!😭
The 3DS is my favorite console and era from Nintendo. I feel you man...
I kinda wish MK7's Bowser's Castle came back in the MK8 Booster Pass, but I'm alright with SNES Bowser's Castle.
I feel like MK7's BC is too small to work in MK8DX; they'd have to modify it pretty heavily.
Man why Nintendo wanna erased away Maka Wuhu??? That both of those tracks brings back a nostalgic vibe on the Nintendo Wii system... THE WUHU STAGES ARE SO GOOD. Nintendo erasing them is a travesty.

I'm gonna miss Wuhu Loop and Maka Wuhu. They're unique amongst usual Mario Kart tracks
21:36 When I saw this clip, I thought you were playing online, but this was from the CPU players?.... Wow! XD
Mario Kart is cruel in all forms.
You can technically play these courses on Mario Kart Tour (except for Wuhu Loop and Maka Wuhu), but some people don’t want to play on there 💀…
Because they don’t look as good or just feel watered down compared to the originals or retros.
I'm "some people".
3:14 I forgot I wrote that comment in the live chat LOL. In the PAL version, we had many different names for each track, including Cheep Cheep Lagoon, which was called Cheep Cheep Cape instead. Shy Guy Bazaar reminds me of Shroom City in Origami King!! Just with less glitz.
I can see it.
Don't forget about Pretendo, so we can technically still play this online still.
Of course, this is fan-maintained online support, so who knows what could happen? Wiimmfi is still going strong though, so maybe Nintendo simply doesn't care about fan servers existing.
Fan projects get shut down all the time lol But you're right, fan servers can keep it going.
@PKSparkxxDH Wiimifi hasn't been shutdown, so I doubt they'll touch Pretendo for a hot minute, especially since the creator of CTGP-7 , Pablo, got them to update the game due to a RCE exploit with the game's data.
18:12 Great throw DK! XD
The Mario Maker 1 servers are soon going offline as well. Mario Maker 1 was how I found your channel. Its sad :(
TRUE, but others are already covering SMM1 a LOT. Not sure I could add anything new or unique to the content.
Lakitu in this game always indexing.
Those were the good ole days 😢
Gotta love how Lava works underwater in Bowsers Castle… Oh Mario Kart, you’re so good with physics
4:14 did the phrase “Mario Kart 7 is good” just come out of PK’s mouth?
I got caught up in the sad fact that it's ending.
Yeah I still don't understand why Mario Kart DS had VS Races, but Mario Kart 7 didn't for single player.
VS Races are exclusive to local multiplayer and online which was irritating.
I was so confused when I realized that. Just seems like a no-brainer to have.
The Thumbnail Shows the Retro Tracks but you played the Nitro Tracks in this video.
Thanks for catching that!
The nitros I’ll miss the most are Shy Guy Bazaar, Wario Shipyard, and a bit with Bowser’s Castle. The rest I’m ok really that they didn’t return.
Actually these tracks are in MK Tour
But isn't Mario kart tour also dead at this point
What's that?
Tour sucks
I would’ve loved to see the return of Wuhu Loop, or Maka Wuhu in the booster course pass
its really sad that the 3ds is dead. It was my first console i ever owned and MK7 was the technically 2nd game i got (the first was madden i didnt play that much) MK7 was the game for me early on. SOON TO BE DEAD. We still have time!
I know im planning on playing smash and pokemon before the end
idk if id be able to get a new copy of mario kart and get everything back in time :/@@PKSparkxxDH
i'm not going to lie, i never played mk7, but it looks like it was a lot of fun. mad that the maka wuhu and the other island track never came back. but thanks for another great video pk, keep up the great work!!!!
It was a solid time! But yeah, just play MK8DX at this point.
I wish I could get ctgp 7. My favorite track in the game that is not returning is maka wuhu and wuhu loop

Turn on all notifications; that may help! Thanks for wanting to see more of my content.
No separate channel...YET. But soon!
0:10 nah nintendo just hates their older catalog
Besides a select few that they keep re-releasing on each console.

After playing it online, I see why. The item roulette is ROUGH in MK7.
The only thing for MK7 is speedruns now
I'd watch them tbh.
was the bazaar not a custom Wii track that you ran?
CTGP is not official.
It honestly sucks Nintendo doesn't believe in nostalgia. MK7 isn't super nostalgic for me since I am a 90s kid, but I know there are tons of kids out there that grew up with this game. 😭😭❤️
Only the OLD OLD games, and only the same games over and over again lol
@@PKSparkxxDH oh right, that is very true. lol🤣
Offline they will still be playable ?
Yes.
You do know none of these courses will go anywhere once the servers shut down... right?
