I would go with the 4k. It'll give you the extra resolution to be able to zoom into the footage and see things sharper. In typical camera technology, the higher resolutions will suffer a bit with lower light/night shots. It might not be that much though since the Sony sensors they use are incredibly good in low light which is what surprised me with my tests.
Thanks for watching. To answer your question, the LEDs can be set to all off. For the screen, you dont have a dedicated off button but you can set the setting to automatically turn off in different time increments: 3 seconds, 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 Minute, 3 Minutes.
