Love the sound!! Only people that 'have' or 'had' a 2 stroke truly appreciate that sound. Nice looking KR. I have an 87 Canadian RZ and will never part with it. Keep the movement alive!
Very fun bike, I owned the Canadian1982 RD350lc, a 1984 RZ350, and an 1985 RZ500. All were a blast to ride and comfortably beat big powerful bikes like kz1000, Honda 1100, big Ninjas etc.etc. still have the RZ500, great fun machines. My HD Night Train is a lot more comfortable and is fast enough too, it has a few mods on it. Ride safe
What a horribly addictive machine to ride... Finally have my R/W/B RZ on the road. I'm running original Toomey pipes, though I'm REALLY still digging the note of those Spec2 chambers. Where do your pipes peak? The Toomeys definitely pull hard, but the best fun is the first 500 of red.
Gary's chambers are quite remarkable overall...power is still good and useable under 5500 and start to come on at 6k and pull wonderfully up to 10,500 with the ultra sweet despot being from 9 to 10,500. The pipes are specifically made to shut off at 10,500 so the cranks stay together. His "race" pipes go to 11,500 I believe but require a welded crank shaft so he says. Cheers
Almost bought one but It didn't have the ypvs I think maybe later models! Yep that was a screamer! I still have my 1985 canadian edition full fairing unlike the us edition and no cat like the California ones! And a yz 360 1975 or 76
such a fierce and ripe sound ! amazing to me how different this bike with the steel silencer sounds compared to mine [ otherwise identical ] with aluminum silencer, i like them both, but quite different.
Very good observation. My TDR has detachable aluminum units. Took me a while to get used to the sound. Removing 75% of the packing and wrapping the un-used portion of the baffle with thin sheet metal fixed it good. 👍😎👀
Nicely done, lovely crisp sound , just picked up a very nice 85 RD for $2Kthat I'm resto modding. Going to have it sprayed in the Euro 1883 colors which I think are the best. Going to use RD350 decals as well to confuse folks lol

2 STROKES THE BEST
1:10-1:25 gives me goosebumps everytime lol
For reference, the top of fourth gear is 100 (kph🙃)
How can you not love a 2stroke

I sure do miss mine. Bought it for $1800. Beat the absolute mess out of it and ended up selling it for $300 about 12 years ago. Wish I still had it.
I had the 1988 rz 350. What a blast. Loved that bike
Love that clutchless wheelies, RD kicks ass, 30 years after :)
Bajker4ever Thanks for watching!
God that's outrageous. Fuck 4 strokes
stripervince1 Lol...that's what I've been saying for over 20 years now but I do own and really enjoy my early 70's screaming Honda 4 strokes too.

Absolutely sweet! Back in the day, I had a '79 Daytona Special with Spec II chambers. I sure do miss me some Snarl of Angry Bees in my life. :)

Man that' was super COOL!!!! I got a 79 Daytona and I will die first before I sell it.
Only to long for the days back in '86... That was the street bike i learned on being 15yrs old. Great memories.
All the way awesome bike!
Two strokes, when one stroke aint enough, and four strokes are too many!
Nice
What a machine!
The most purest exhaust sound for rz350....

Sounds awesome
lectron is kickass
Oh MAN, I can't wait to get mine out on the road...
Did any of the mods take out that 4,500 "stumble" ??
The 5k burble is in the dna of the machine. Even my TDR does it. It is what it is.
Fantastic, what a great engine.
One of the greatest motorcycles ever designed by man, the Yamaha RZ350 Kenny Roberts Special, long live The Evil Empire!!
what kind of pipes is those ???
Albert Britschgi Spec 2 is the brand. They are some of the best available. HVC Cycle has good ones too.
OMG!! that sound is so incredible!!!
It sounds ferocious.
How many hp? 50?
Rated at 70 according to my engine people.
Hoooly shit
Is that a CB400 SS ! Nice also !
