I have had mine over 10 years and replaced the pads twice, I use them as tracking/recording headphones in my studio for all that time, still working, these will last well if you look after them.
The only problem I see with this ad is that if these headphones provide so much isolation there wouldn't be any need to hush at the end to let the DJ sleep, because no matter how much noise we make he wouldn't listen anything outside his headphones.
I really thought it was shot in the day time, anyway it seems like a great headphone based on the comments I see here, hopefully will get to try on one of these headphone one day.
One just needs to look at the nature of the ad to question the product. Marketing based products. Serious people like me who value substance and technical specs in electronics cant stand this sort of advertisement.

I often don't remember that I have them on my head, no joke.
awesome video. I really have learned to love my HD 280 pros
Had mine for about 16 years and only had to change the pads once, if you take care of them they are nice and durable and sound good.
I've had mine for 6 years now and nothing I've used so far can top them

thats in case of a dj, but what about producers, editors, musicians, recording sessions etc.
they actually mean they isolate sound so it doesn't bleed into the microphone
What a great Sales Video, bought 2 for our company
I prefer my AKG K701 but they're noisy for those around me. The HD 280 Pro sound great and are quiet, too. I use mine daily.
Wait, I thought you worked for Neumann 🤔
I bought it to play drums! It works well because it's closed back.

You were expecting an ad that looks like it was made by Nike or something?
You are not buying the advertisement. You are buying the headphones.
