As a middle-schooler that actually ice skates, this is only insulting to the ppl who think they’re “mAtErIaL gWoRlS” that have tried to ice skate before. It was laughable. Because I was with them, and they were doing the same thing. Edit: I was gone for 9 months.

I can skate carefully and fast and I can hardly stop I literally fall and ask for a hand up if someone else is more stable so that I don't fall again or drag them down.
I broke my ankle ice skating, for school we went on a feild trip and I fell over and I coulden't skate, so my friends dragged me across the rink to a teacher and they thought I was over exagerating and to go back on the ice, I told her I wasent going back on it. When I got back to my school my friends were basically carrying me around and they woulden't call my parents, the next day I came back to school with a cast and none of the teachers cared. :/ long story ik

today was my first ice skating lesson and i could barely walk in skates much less get on the ice without falling! my instructor had to help me but by the end i could do mini glides and march on the ice without falling! its seriously hard tho i agree❤ (p.s if you feel like you’re gonna fall, bend over and bring your knees together, it helped me a lot)

Once, there were these two girls who wore tank tops and leggings that were acting like they were the center of attention. Like no one cares if you fall, it's normal. When I ice skate, I wear sweatpants and a random shirt because while learning comfort is really important. This really pisses me off because they act like they are so cool.
This reminded me of when I was in elementary school a few years ago. (In some places elementary school is primary to grade 6 and then high school is grade 7 to grade 12)anyway have to the story, there was a group of girls who were pro ice skaters and they would go skate over to the hockey boys and pretend to fall or something. and then the boys would help the girls up and they’d go off giggling and telling everyone.
I go roller skating quite frequently and it’s so annoying when a bunch of ten year olds are making trains so big that u can’t get through but they’re just kids so ya gotta let ‘‘em have fun
As a middle-schooler in Canada, half of my class plays competitive hockey (including me). 2 figure skates competitively and the rest can skate or have played hockey. We have a of 21 ppl class. This is like every private school in Canada lmao
I went ice skating without knowing how to but people were so nice and willing to take my hand when going through some parts. My friend almost fell but two strangers grabbed him on time. It’s amazing how everyone looks out for one another despite us being total strangers!
