I think Angelica probably threw everything in her arsenal in that performance but the kitchen sink. She went delicate, she's shown power, full voice high & low notes, riffs and runs, falsettos, head voice, growls. And what's astounding is she made them all come together to create this jewel of a performance. I can't fathom what else she could have added to make it any better.
I enjoyed your reactions to Angelica. Angelica won my vote with her amazing talent but she won my heart with her backstory and giving spirit. When she was only 4 yrs old Angelica suffered a near fatal illness that permanently damaged her kidneys. After 18 months of dialysis she received her mother's kidney. Since then Angelica has been affiliated with the Children's Miracle Network and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (the CMN Hospital that saved her life) and performs around the country raising money so other sick and injured children can receive life saving medical treatment. She performs at fundraisers, corporate and government functions and national sporting events on behalf of the CMN. She even performed at this year's Miss America Pagent. Some of these performances are among the 100 videos on Angelica Hale's UA-cam channel. She is an amazing little girl.
We are getting the witness the beginning of a career of a superstar. I think about how special this is and how amazing she is. This opportunity does not come along very often. Other than Michael Jackson I cannot think of very many stars we had the pleasure to see from age 6 on up. Some songs are better than others but you can ALWAYS see the potential in all her work. She is so much better at 9 than she was at 6, but even at six you could see she was special. Imagine what we will be seeing and hearing in 5 or 6 years from now, Not even taking into consideration her amazing backstory. She is just special. I do not believe she will just disappear I think she will be a very special person that I feel very lucky to have run across. Thank you guys for the reaction.
People are already knocking before AGT. She sang the national anthem for Ms. America and the US open and many more venues. She also tours for Children Miracle Network.
She came second to Darci Lynne. What was really impressive was that although she finished 2nd she was, at the after result party backstage, bubbling with excitement. She was going round hugging everyone she could and in particular Darci, who had just defeated her. Angelica was asked if she was sad at losing, she replied that she was so very happy because her best friend had won. If you get a chance now the contest is over, look at her Hospital Story, but make sure you have a full box of tissues.
I hope she wins! She really deserves to win this. She is a rare talent. And the fact she is 10 years old and can sing like that is very rare indeed! Vote for her! She preforms on September the 12th in the semi-finals.

Regine was about that good when she was young joining local singing competitions in the Philippines, they lived in Balagtas, Bulacan, but part of her roots was from the southern Philippines, where the mother of Angelica's family hails (iligan City), same with Regine, Morrisette Amon and Bruno Mars.

If what you're trying to say is you're genetically better singers I'd say you have to prove it to me because I already found exceptions to your theory. If on the other hand you say that your culture loves to sing and encourages your people to sing then I'd say you have something there because the more people sing the more likelihood of finding that exceptional singer. If other cultures and nationalities were to cultivate a love for singing and to encourage their people to sing I'm sure we'd find just as many exceptional singers.
