What I get from Geoff is the beautiful of simplicity---enjoying the pure connection with nature, not letting everything become complicated with rigid plans or obsession with PRs, not becoming cocky...what a great inspiration!
Geoff and I both ran Western but he ran a different course. I was using a flashlight by Foresthill. I appreciate his speed, thoughtfulness and humility.
Very inspiring video, thanks! The sort of focus on the Runners Low... great step beyond the motivation of most of the runners who are searching for the High on concrete roads. And Juneau is indeed a great place for running combined with outdoor adventures (fishing!).
I've spent my life in the mountains and have found very little understanding within them. I think what Geoff has found, which is even more commendable, is contentment. How I wish I had found something of this kind. Geoff may be a world class runner, but he is also a person. Many of those who are blessed with success forget and worse disreguard this. We can only treat running or whatever your pursuits may be as a microcosm for life, and use them to grow as a person.
Such a humble guy with a great training regimen --> He makes trail running accessible to the average Joe -- Also, hot dogs and beer around the campfire, who doesn't like that?

I only what's only my watch to be home on time. Great runner and great movie. This motivates me for a new run ;)

Did you produce this film? It is an amazing piece of work!!! As an aspiring documentary film maker I was blown away at the artistry and filming.
Wow, late to the party, but this is a great piece. Roes seems like a thoroughly sweet-natured guy.
@brianfelix1986 No, Joel Wolpert did (all the credits are given at the end).
So is Corle LaForce still around? They seem to make a pretty good couple.
