Amy Astro......That would be awsome!...I am going to check out your plate solve video as well, seems to me i was having issues with that as well as driver issues. I hope to , someday, have a dedicated laptop to run my acquisition software.....

Hi Chris, if you're wondering how to setup platesolving in SGP, I've made this video on that: ua-cam.com/video/5htkDJmeEYM/v-deo.html. Thanks Amy, i don't have a dog but most people in my city don't know what the value of my astrogear is and leave it alone :-).
Dear Amy, Before you commence a SQ session and you have had your mount in either the park or zero position, where do you move it to to get SQ to take over and be ready to start a sequence ? I have had SQ tell me my scope won't move because it's in either Park or Zero ? Thank you so much for your wonderful video presentations , I appreciate them immensely, Steve
Make sure the mount is Un-Parked. Then I start from the Home position which is counter weights down and scope up. I have noticed that the new release of SGP always asks if I want to connect the mount or un-park it when I have already done it. I just say ok and move on. It works. Best of luck.
Hello Amy, excellent videos and tutorials, very very helpful to me, I have a question for you, how difficult is to plate solve in sgP without a camera rotator? Thank you for your help and greetings from Monterrey Mexico, Clear Skies!
Good question! It is very easy. SGP will talk you through it while it is plate solving. It will stop and say rotate camera 10 deg to the left and you rotate the camera. It will run again and let you know if you need to adjust it any more. You get about 2 deg for every 1mm moved.
Hi Amy, a warm regards from Canada! Learning a lot with your videos/tutorials! Would be possible for you to make a video showing the steps you follow to have your gears ready for starting a sequence in SGP when using remote connection? I mean, I assume there are steps you must do in the field using your local NUC (polar alignment, PHD calibration, rough focus) before moving to your "control room", right? Do you use your portable monitor and keyboard to see execute polar alignment and PHD calibration? After completing those steps, I assume you left all your gears powered and ready to be connected to your local NUC. My apologies for asking all these questions but I have been looking, without success, for tutorials that explains all these steps. Thanks and stay safe and healthy!
I'm not in a place where I would leave my equipment out all night and most nights I'm out with my scope I do have a gun on my side or laying on the table next to my laptop but it is really cool that you can do that
Thanks for sharing all this knowledge with mortals like me!. Anyway, I can't leave my gears outside without supervision. My backyard doesn't have enough privacy so they can be easily stolen!
Great video for a great piece of software. Seems to be a problem with your link to the Amateur Astrophotography Magazine article, getting an error message, Sorry, the page you've requested isn't here.. Also the links to the youtube channels are not working, getting message saying channel does not exist on them. I know they exist I'm a subscriber to them. Maybe youtube is having an off day. Good news, the flickr link is working, and the link to the action set. 😁

Dean Shaw I will do some settings videos soon. Maybe that will help. I love the program once I had it all setup

The best walk through on the a to z of running an automated sequence. Thank You Amy!

Tam Richardson yeah with clear skies during the work week I had to find a way to get data and not be a zombie at work the next day.

Great video, Amy! I use APT and it can do similar sequence automation. I wish I had a view of the night sky where I could set up in my yard.
It is handy setting up at home where you can run tests.
Amy, good detailed instructions. The only problem I have occasionally is autofocus. For me, it has a lot to do with seeing conditions.
:)
Great walk through on sgp.

Great help I'm going to try and do this on my setup Thanks Amy
I love this setting, Rule the world with this one.
Good video. Have you checked out astap for plate solving, it is way faster...
No but I will google it. Thanks
Hi there, can you please tell me the difference between a dark and a dark flat frame ? Do I need a dark flat when I have a bias and a dark ?
A dark flat is to help you calibrate the flat frame only.
@@AmyAstro Thank you :)
