As much as I do love the design and combat prowess of it, I will admit, I wish it was a little faster... BUT, I love it nonetheless! I mean, who doesn't want to ride a giant Dromeaosaur!? Edit: Looking back on this video and the creature itself, I think of this as some kind of balance and variation between mechanical creatures: The Striders and company - heavily inspired by various species of Ungulate (horse, cattle, goats, camel, donkey and that) - are specifically designed for speed and manoeuvrability, perfect for general travel and fast travelling, but the drawback to them is that they are mediocre war-mounts: Even if the Broad-horn and Charger have more fighting capacity due to their head weapons and sturdier build. The Bristle-back, like the many species of pig (a.k.a S U S or Suidae), are built for speed and power, however, they can only do this in a straight line, otherwise, they will lose momentum and will have to start over. They are also more muscular and war-born compared to Striders and co. Despite this, they are less agile. The Clawstrider (Which is still a great machine despite the glaring flaw it has), is SPECIFICALLY designed for combat and nimbleness, not velocity (that was a velociraptor pun...) The reason for this is to make the game somewhat balanced and have variation for the player's mount of choice; rather than just pure speed and utility from the Striders and co. Also, we do not know what EXACTLY if Dromeaosaur were speed dinosaurs, even if we do have some evidence that points to this due to discoveries in bone structures, there could have been ones that we're more adept at stealth and quick kills: Like cats! But the thing is... We. Don't. Know! Cuz they are dead and have been dead for a LONG time! What I am trying to say, is that it's all just a game mechanics' way of balancing and choice giving!
Good point, I believe it's now the common perspective that dromeaosaurs weren't actually very fast- at least for long enough to give chase- but were more likely ambush predators, based on like the proportions of their leg bones. Obviously there's variation between them, but it seems they were largely not super fast creatures, at least not as fast as JP would have you believe lol
I was so hyped for ride that machune until I realized is the fucking slowest thing in whole game. It's literally velociraptor like machine so It have to be fast as hell
Bristlebacks are way better. Not only are they faster, but they always find a little too much under ground where you leave them. One time, I left mine near a village just to end a quest in it. I swear I was absent less than a minute but when I came back he was sitting on a PILE of shards and whatnot looking happiest ever. It took another minute to collect everything he gathered there.
Totally agree, they are much slower than the Charger. Although it is simultaneously much more powerful. I think this one is meant to be for fighting, but since you need to override a charger to use it again, it isn’t very easy to switch

I hope they release a patch for his slowness, it barely moves!
@@SimbaTvb or pull out a faster variant of it
I mean, we have tracker burrowers and sentry scroungers, so why not "faster clawstriders"?

The most car-like machine in the game
It looks like a weaponized McLaren on legs

Probably for balance reasons because "combat-class machine" and stuff

Yup is clawstrider soo good attack good defensive good
Clawstrider epic
For me, the best clawstrider would be fire clawstrider. Make it feels like your riding a hot rod.

The Best Is Acid ClawStrider

Yes, but their ass covers the entire screen when you're riding around

@@epic719yes, if overridden then you can ride them
Bristleback mount gameplay too
I’ll have a look!
I wasn’t actually aware that you could mount those.

They can actually jump like that, it happens when you jump from a place a little bit higher.
