Biggest changes I wanna see: 1. End game PvM system. Rip off maps from POE for all I care. Have them drop from TZ. Have "legendary" maps that require a team to complete. That's the biggest one. Tbh. Game needs replay ability and currently it lacks it. 2. Fix PvP Idk what they should do. There's OGs with prob better ideas than me but I want stun lock to be relevant but not oppressive. FPK is a l8z fest with stun immunity in the game lol
1: There isn't a problem with Stamina per se, just how it's implemented. It would be cooler if Stamina was tied to Defense rating instead of the ability to run, so while running your Defense rating is active but every attack you receive will reduce your stamina, when it reaches 0 it you would no longer have defense while you are running just like we have now. 2: Monster immunities should remain. After playing through Reimagined, beyond the game being super easy with some of the changes and things they added, monster immunities being removed was the most pointless change. Cold Sorc becomes a god straight away, meanwhile for everyone else 99% resistance may as well be 100% since I would just run past the mobs that were originally immune anyway; I still needed resistance reduction items like infinity and lower resist charges to deal with them effectively like we already do now; only difference is I just don't get to see who's immune and who isn't leading me to waste my time a little bit before I realize I deal practically 0 damage. There's ways around immune monsters, there's plenty of zones you can farm, and you can still complete the game running any build, removing immunities just removes depth from the game. 3: There is no reason why we don't have 10 billion stash tabs in single player, I wish they just took Plugy's stash system and added it to D2R single player. 4: More items to work with is always nice, however Mosaic while it can be fun to play around with, it is actually too strong and something I would expect from D3 or D4, it does not belong in D2. When a fully built Mosaic Assassin can clear Hell Chaos Sanctuary at Players 2000+ you have a serious balancing problem on your hands. If it had required a Zod in the runeword it would have made more sense given its strength, but the fact that you can make it very easily within a couple hours of Lower Kurast runs; it's actually ridiculous. 5: Adding teleport to more things would be nice, what would be nicer if + to specific skills (no class restriction) were mods that can roll on items as opposed to special stats on runewords and uniques. They would be rare and there's a lot of skills in the game; so the odds of getting a rare or magic Amulet with +1 Teleport would be quite low. Additionally it can open up the opportunity for even more wacky and unorthodox builds. 6: Adding more assets accomplishes nothing, once the novelty wears off it just becomes more of the same, so while it would be nice this won't actually improve D2 in the long term. Unless of course those assets come with completely new mechanics then it can add more variety, but if those Elemental's are just reskinned Souls with a different damage type then there is no real reason to add them as they won't change anything.
I appreciate the feedback! This is the kind of discourse I like to see. I like your reimagining on Stamina, maybe it would have made more sense that way. And yeah one thing I loved about D2 solo was Plugy, and not having to worry about stash space ever. While I don't expect them to give us infinite stash tabs, surely we can do so much better than what we have now, the fact that we're still talking about not enough stash space in 2025 is crazy.
I would like to be able to equip gloves, belt, and boots to my Merc. This would increase utility and survivability of the Merc at lower levels, as well at higher levels, while not really negativity changing the combat difficulty.
@@beefnacos6258 you have a separate bag for charms, any charm in that bag is active, and you have your inventory, any charm in the inventory is not active
Everything he talks about is irrelevant. There are items in the game that allow you to bypass many of these mechanics such as monster immunity and stamina. With his logic its like why not just make everything have 1 health so it can be steam rolled even on players 8. If monsters were not immune than everyone would play 1 char with much less build diversity out there. There would be no challenge with the game. Everything he suggests would make the game worse with less replay ability. Also If you play enough runes will drop and allowing everyone to get teleport easily is the dumbest thing i have ever heard. Other characters have so much more damage than a sorc why allow them to get teleport even easier/earlier? The only thing they should keep doing is adding an optional difficulty and more rune words allowing others to pass into non season. The only thing i agree with him with is having betting uniques.
Players asked for diablo 2 to be harder before it was released. Hence stamina and many other mechanics that were implemented. I agree kinda pointless nowadays.
I would also propose a teleport delay similar to Fist of the heavens and other skills. It will stop physics invest tons of equipment for teleporting and make more equal to casters
Why utterly destroy a class like that. You may not remember or played before they nerfed frozen orb with cast delay way back in the day but players hated the change. Before it did like 150 dmg but had no cast delay It was so much fun to play. After the patch is was generic and not fun.
Teleport charges can miss. I want tyraels might to have +1 teleport. That rune with 500 tele charges I think would be better with +1 to teleport. Good video anyway
After level 5(or 10 minutes of gameplay) stamina is moot. Not to mention, wells and Stam shrines. Removing this won't make the game better, it's a mechanic you forget for virtually every second of gameplay.
Bro says teleport has no competition, after expressly calling mosiac as not shattering the game. Mosiac is teleport and killing hordes as quickly as possible, and teleport spam farther to targets off screen.
"I'm a fan of diablo2 and have been playing for years". But puts out a video wanting to change so many mechanics, it wouldn't be Diablo 2. Sunders were added. "Shouldn't have to have stamina.. shouldn't have resistances" Bro. Wtf? Learn to be challenged.
There's a good kind of challenge, and a bad kind of challenge. Besides, what's challenging about stamina? It's just annoying for low level characters. Diablo 1 doesn't have stamina. How I know? By playing it on my old PS1 back in 1997. I'm not a newbie to this franchise. And monster immunities are a cheap way to increase difficulty. I never said anything about resistances, in fact I would be happy if monsters resisted the element by 70-80%. Sunder charms are just a bandaid on a bad game mechanic, in my opinion of course. I know not everyone will agree, and that's fine!
I also played d1, after it's release on PC. Also.. not new to the Diablo franchise.. It's bad enough with the JSP forum gold polluting ladder.. but some of the asinine changes would ruin the gameplay.. There is some issues with waypoints that need fixing too.. but nobody mentions that.. just how to change the game and make it easier.. or lessen the rarity/quality of the already established items.. Grief and enigma broke the game.. Nuff said.
@@ray_donovan_v4to be fair grief was extremely needed because everything else sucks major ass. Melee characters were soooo far behind. Grief helps melee characters get that boost they need. But i agree at the end of the day, there's almost no item variation, you wear a grief and it stops there. 😂. I don't utilize enigma the way most do so I'm not that bothered by it, but then again, almost everyone is using enigma, making item variation again obsolete.
@@beefnacos6258 the game was fine without grief.. prior To LoD releasing the runeword.. all it did was just change the "best in slot". Sure, grief opened up and gave people an option outside of a "dropped BiS" But it's literally not needed to beat the game and farm to 99. Because alot of us did beat LoD, and get to 99, Prior. All it did was appease the unlucky folks that never found their BiS drop. BoTD requires a zod, and it's attainment rate is far less than grief, just by the rune rarity..
Can't say that I agree, mechanics that limit the action in an action RPG are not my cup of tea. Not to mention that melee builds are already at a huge disadvantage in D2 as opposed to casters. But thanks for your input.
My only argument is that enigma is cheap to buy, go to any d2 item site and you can buy for a couple dollars. My time is way more valuable than spending that money on the best item in the game.
Stamina is for low lvl chars-
... as you build your character, stamina noOo longer becomes an issue-
Seriously even at lvl 40 there's no problems 😂
If they want money, Blizzard could charge money for adding stash tabs.
I've been saying that for years. Same with D3, a lot of people wouldn't mind paying an extra $5 every now and then for more stash.
@@fallenmessiah3308 And it really isn’t an exploit. Nothing unfair or game-breaking about that kind of “pay to play”
