Hey Leonard! You have eased my anxieties as a senior solo traveller somewhat.Thank You so much dear heart. You dug right into the substance of the matter, negotiating the station to actually get to the metro. As if that was not sufficient comfort to my anxious soul, you explained the elements of the ticket.May God eternally bless you.
I have to make my way from Rome to CIVTAVECCHIA to take up a cruise.Hopefully I will be able to do it successfully..
If I do, It will be,in part, because of your superb presentation in this video

really great video. just a question, did you have to stamp the 3 day tickets everytime you entered a metro station? how does it work if the ticket is already validated?

The trains are fun! Lots of people to help you out if you have questions. You’ll be fine! Thank you for watching. Good luck!
Me too and leaving in September this year 2024
Im scared of the pickpocketers in the metro train
They target Americans (as they are the loudest) so don't look like a tourist, be discreet and aware of scams.
I'm going there next month, so this is very helpful! Thank you for doing the video.
Thanks for sharing your vids sending my support see you around , good content I did the full bell stay connected thanks
Great to see you here new friend. Thank you for dropping by.
@@leonardsheatravel any time my friend
hey! hope you answer back but did want to ask: I see this video is from January, was it cold when you went? or was it hot? I see everyone with summer clothing
Italy is cold during January. This was definitely recorded during spring or summer time
very informative
It is a big place. Thank you for watching new friend.
Very helpful! Thx! 👏
In order to ride do you have to have Euros to purchase a ticket? Euros to eat? I'll be riding the termini to Rome from Civitavecchia. Trying to get to the Vatican for the day and then back to Civitavecchia. Any more info you can provide would be appreciated. TIA
If you're using cash then yes you need euros. If you're using your card, make sure you let your bank know that you will be traveling otherwise your card will get locked.
Very informative! Thx for the share! Can’t wait to travel again!😊
I hope everything starts to open up soon too. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Big Euro train station! Thank you for watching
A great n reliable mode of transportation! Thx for sharing!
Thank you for creating and sharing this video with us! What happens if you miss your train? Can you board the next train? Have to buy another ticket? I'll be there in 2 weeks, traveling solo, so this eases my anxieties but heightens my curiosities!!
Thank you Leonard. The only ROME video guide who puts in the lay out plan of the Roma Termini!
That place is a gong show! Why on earth would my train that was supposed to go to Florence say Milano on it? And of course as a result, I missed my train to Florence and was just so frustrated, after a couple of experiences that went sideways in this fashion, I ended my trip when they told me my bank cards didn’t work (horseshit-they don’t like plastic over there and I do not like headgames. But, if they don’t update their card processing equipment because they REALLY prefer cash, then whatever. I guess their machines would give them a reading that my cards were faulty but when I took a taxi to the airport right after this all happened, no problem using my Visa to pay for the cab) I had cash on me but I couldn’t afford to pay twice for everything due to their strange rules.
Let’s do a comparison here. The Rome subway system there gives you the name of the final station on that route. That’s just the way it is. So they went and changed the rules for the regional trains? They told me they were going through Milan to get to Florence? Why?! It didn’t make sense! I think just being consistent makes more sense, it’s who I am…and I’ll go to Italy again but I don’t think I’ll be taking the bullet trains due to The very effed up experience I had.
Great vídeo!!!!!
This was very helpful. Thank you
Spagna is pronounced Spania. No G.
Thx you…brother
Spag-na? Grazi? Might be better to not to try speaking italian
Oh boy! At least he’s trying
If u buy ur ticket TERENTALIA online
Do u still need to validate before boarding the train?
Everyone mentions validation on the ticket it's a must, but no one actually shows that part 😂 thanks to my Russian ppl that show everything from A to Z + they mention you can get fined if you don't validate. 😂❤
Ok, I really like your videos, but this one was a little confusing. At one point in the video 5:59, you started talking about the Leonardo express to airport, but afterwards you explained how to catch a train to Florence. So, my question is do I have to go through that same process to find the track and platform for the Leonardo express, or does the Leonardo come through the same track and platform every time, or do I need to watch the train board because it come in on a different track/platform every time in comes into Rome Termini? Also, when I purchase a ticket online, is it downloaded to my phone or phone app, emailed to me, or how do I receive the tickets?
18 years ago me and my wife were here and it was full of aggressive beggars and also police and security, whats it like now?
