  • The Research Institute of Molecular Pathology Vienna (IMP) presents a lecture by neuroscientist Wolf Singer on "The cerebral cortex - a substrate for computing in high dimensional dynamic state space". Wolf Singer is a central figure in the debate on brain, mind and free will. His research addresses how the brain represents the world and generates perceptions, thoughts and mind. He is particularly interested in one of the fundamental problems for the brain: How to build an internal representation of an external object having only access to its individual features. His talk is part of the IMP's Max Birnstiel Lecture Series 2016.
